He's home. Taking it real easy. Final tally 8" long x 6" wide x 4" deep taken from his leg. Has a nurse over daily to unpack and restuff the hole with gauze and check for infection. He is walking at least. Had to cancel his yearly week long trip to upstate NY for salmon this year though. He was looking forward to it as his trips to the Salmon River prior to this had gotten him "re-bitten" by the salmon bug. No pun intended.

take some C and have some live culture yogurt if he's been on/ still on antibiotics

antibiotics kills everything in your gut
even the GOOD bacteria you need to stay well....

We need a good deep freeze this winter. Kill all them frigging things.

and miraculously seem to thaw out and begin life again.
i wish it was that easy.
