%^&^%# morning up north. I was off the water by 7:30. Windy, kinda cold and no bait to speak of, never mind fish.

My Pop and Mom turned their nose up to a cruise this morning seeing the clouds and cool weather so we puttered around, got some stuff done on his car he wanted repaired.

As I go to get the parts at parts store, guy I fish with regularly says he's on a school of bunker all by himself with big bass attacking it. :fury:

Yeah, there were some fish taken later in the morning.

The term big bass is all relative. I consider 30# a good fish. Some consider 15# a big fish. It's all in your perspective.

I have 97 hours (according to my GPS) on the water so far this year, have been on bunker since 5/2 and still haven't seen a fish over 25#.

bassballer 06-12-2014 04:45 PM

we were on fish early morning for a bout an hour. Biggest fish was around 18-20# (seeing alot of this size around right now). Then it got real lumpy. Were still a couple weeks away from bigger fish showing up in numbers where i usually fish.

bassballer 06-12-2014 04:46 PM

Paul, 97 hours already!! you do 3 100 hour services a season??? Im impressed.

Yeah, I am a fool this year as I splashed on April 9th. I'll pull next week for service.

Guppy 07-09-2014 07:56 PM

I prefer week days myself but I'm in for this weekend, not sure which day yet,,, need a pass! Sunday most likely,,, I should know maņana and don't mind getting in trouble for a Saturday meet,,
I've had all the wind I can take! :wall: boats never been so clean :)

piemma 07-10-2014 01:06 AM

I actually went out Tuesday morning. Went all the way to Brenton Reef from Warwick Cove. Fun ride both ways

I was thinking about the meet up the other day. Seems like Summer is slipping away.

bassballer 07-10-2014 08:20 AM

I could do an early afternoon sunday. Saturday cant do.

bassballer 07-10-2014 08:55 AM

weather is supposed to be good. Not sure if you you guys want to run this far north but Potters cove in jamestown is a good spot. Not as busy as Prudence.

bassballer 07-10-2014 08:56 AM

Paul how was the swell out there?

piemma 07-10-2014 09:18 AM

BIG!!!!! with a chop on top of it. I got one decent fish up against the reef. I was alone and it was like a #@#$%^ fire drill keeping the boat off the reef with the swell.

bassballer 07-10-2014 09:33 AM

thats why I havent been out. I cant effectively fish when it gets like that. recon mission later on today then ill be out in the morning.
