Since I ended up with Kaenon's my costas don't leave the case. Hadn't even heard of them.

My better half started working at an eye Dr's place. New prescription Maui Jim's coming at a nice price.

When I lived in Miami ... for flats fishing it was either rose or brown colored lenses for lightening up the bottom, to distinguish contours, changes, etc. ... to more easily spot fish ... the offshore guys always used the grey lenses as they had better protection from the reflection off the water ...

Costas vs Maui's

I have a pair of both. Like the Costa's wide side frames block out the side sun. Had them about a year. the Maui's I have had for 16 years. Sent back 2 times to fix the frames, came back brand new no charge. Finally the lens were all scratched sent them back new lenses $50. Brand new case every time to. Maui Customer Service is awesome. All said either way can't go wrong.

Can you see it when you cock your head a bit? It usually has to do w/ the polarizing lenses; changing the angle a bit helps, but when doing a lot of computer survey work on the boat I keep a cheaper pair of glasses for that reason.
