I don't think the amount of posts should matter. A chatty cathy online doesn't necessarily make someone worthy or a quiet member unworthy. As long as they are a member and their actions "in the real world" warrant a nomination I think it should be considered.

I second Sea Dangles for member of the year.

But that is not in line with the guidelines that John posted.

The guidelines also state the following, note the word ONLY;

* Name only
* Member needs TWO nominations (nomination and seconded)

There are 3 parts to the guidelines;

Simple Rules:

* Member needs to be a member with (at least) regular PARTICIPATION in 2014. Should be based heavily on being a great S-Ber and and all around good fellow.
* Name only
* Member needs TWO nominations (nomination and seconded)

Well then I guess you all said it and shame on me. This is NOT something I feel we as a group should be arguing over.

If John deems his participation to be too low than so be it. His site and he makes the rules ;)
