“he lost his eye in war, or whatever”.

i personally love the “or whatever”, let’s downplay, or even outright question, how the Seal got hurt.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha, please stop mister comedian, my stomach hurts from laughing so hard.

a new low.

Obama speaking to those "more highly educated democrats" the other night....

“Don’t be Charlie Brown. Don’t fall for the okey doke. Don’t be bamboozled. Don’t be hoodwinked. Because when you get distracted, while you’re distracted with all this stuff they’re making up, they’re also robbing you blind. It will be like, look, look, look over there, and then they’re giving tax cuts to billionaires,” Obama added.

Except Andrew Cuomo of course....

I do think the Rick Scott, Cuomo and Greg Pence lines were almost a chuckle... unless you also look like Bruce Willis whittled from a penis, then you might be offended by that 😁

Said the guy with yeti pubes on his chin 😁.

Listen, I said I think he isn’t funny and the joke in question was in bad taste. He isn’t high up my list of standup comedians, and I haven’t seen snl in years.

What’s funny to you, git er done?

Off to put the kids on the bus and work. Have a good day guys.

I give this troubled kid a pass. When you joke about your own fathers death (twin towers) there really is no boundaries that you won’t cross.

As disgusting as it was, why isn't this snowflakish?

Sea Dangles 11-05-2018 10:33 AM

In my opinion this has nothing to do with politics, just poor judgement.

because a snowflake is someone who is upset that someone else disagrees with them. when snowflakes at uconn needed counseling to deal with the fact that Ben Shapiro was invited to speak, thatbwas stupid, because Shapiro wasn’t insulting any of them directly.

SNL put on national TV, the photo of a fellow citizen, a real person, and mocked his appearance, which he cannot help.

Snowflakes get upset for no reason. This isnt that, and i’m pretty sure you know that.

Jim, snowflake doesn't have a real meaning, the point is just to be petty and immature, that's why it's used.

PaulS 11-05-2018 10:55 AM

So is it ok when Thrump says Collins (a NY Times op ed writer) has the face of a dog or something similiar or mocks that fat woman he doesn't like

wikipedia...

"Snowflake as a slang term involves the derogatory usage of the word snowflake to refer to a person. Its meaning may include a person perceived by others to have an inflated sense of uniqueness or an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or to be over-emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions."

if you call a snowflake a snowflake and they begin to cry or otherwise emote...I'd say it has real meaning and is probably in line to be banned as a term of verbal violence

no, it’s not remotely all right when he does it. it’s horrible when he does it. fair enough?

rosie attacks trump mercilessly, which is fine. so while it’s bad when trump makes fun of her, it’s not quite as disgusting as this, because this former seal hasn’t done anything to this comedian.

although if his dad was killed in 9/11 maybe that’s why he’s such a jerk. anybody could be ruined by that. but someone should tell him thatbthe seal was seriously wounded, trying to get justice for his father.

1 is the Pres. of the US and the other is a comedian who may have mental issues (which there has been news reports for some time prior to this about). I didn't know his father died in 9 11.

It is not something you or I would say but that is what comedians do. Some jokes are funny, some fall flat, some insult, some they wish they prob. didn't say.

Let's face it...SNL hasn't been funny in quite some time.
Because of that they tend to pull the "off-colored humor" card out of their comedy vault and try to stir up viewership by insulting them.

Remember the adage "You can say good things or you can say bad things about me, but just keep talking about me"?

They don't really care about the integrity level or the intelligence level of their material, as long as it "stirs the pot" and makes people comment.

I'm not thin-skinned, and can take a joke like anyone else, but there has to be a line where they cross over to bad taste and this is one of those times.

It clearly is one of those times, but to link that to a shadow liberal agenda to discredit his candidacy or devalue veterans is a similarly bad taste line to draw

they do? show me other comedians who show pictures of wounded vets, and then make fun of the injuries they received in combat? i haven’t heard of this.

and if he’s that cruel and deranged, in addition to not being funny, why does NBC employ him?

also this week, an MSNBC crew set up at a polling station, and all their gear was set up
in a handicapped parking spot. a wounded vet could not park, asked them to move, and they said no because they were ready to broadcast.

bad optics.

Crenshaw, however, said an apology from Davidson and NBC "won't mean anything to me."

"I do think that in today's culture and today's politics we tend to throw rocks at each other back and forth demanding apologies for every upset that is done to us," he said. "What they should do is maybe pool their money together and donate to some veterans’ charities out there that could really use some help."

But maybe the comedian will say, like someone else: “I didn’t say that, You better read it again.”

Meaghan Kelly was let go from NBC because she said some insensitive things on the air. Maybe NBC should release him from his contract as well. Apply the same standard across the board. They DID set the precedent.

worse than bad optics - rude.

JohnR 11-05-2018 05:55 PM

He was making fun of a wounded vet. Kinda pathetic actually.

As a country, we tend to put vets on a pedestal and do too much hero worship, they are not all heroes - though heroes walk among them. But they are pretty solid people when compared to the general populace. But it was stupid.

Crenshaw had the last laugh though when he said he doesn't mind the joke - he just wish it was actually funny.

Snowflakes are because each one is unique and they are all special, particularly in mom's basement.
