Thanks Clammer...We moved them into our home back when her father got sick...sadly he passed away here with us several years ago. If she had been sent to a nursing home I don't believe she would have made it this far.... she is extremely well cared for...lucky woman. When I married her daughter 41 years ago, she wasn't that keen about me. Something about being of english decent, to her, meant a cold heart.

I wish you peace and contentment and a better year than last.

Well the good news in this case was that we got there in time to deliver the mail to you. Otherwise it would have been a much longer tow up to Providence.....

Sits down with us every night for dinner and finishes her plate, then checks to see how i'm doing. She knows nights I go fishing and always asks if I caught anything! She loves fresh fish of any kind. Pretty sure she'll make 100...but we're making a big deal out of this one....taking her to foxwoods overnight......she will have a great time I'm sure.

Birthday Girl...celebrating her 99th birthday with a drink at foxwoods... with her 63 year old daughter (my wife)......good genes.

Moving to cape cod was the best thing my wife and I ever did. Wifey loves loves loves her job, and I finally taught myself how to paint ;)

I'm gonna sell this thing for 5 figures then take my brother tarpon fishing, he is half way through chemo for burkitt lymphoma and feeling good.

And he hit the marker perfectly - damage was symmetrical thru the bow.

Yes, he still fishes.

I still remember the flip phone labeled “REALTOR” on a duct taped label that caused one of Clammah’s LU headaches.

Thanks Ray....Her mom says she remembers every significant event of her life in detail, very sharp, clear mind. Onward to 100

In other "good news" my son just got engaged to a really great girl!!
It was a two hour one way drive for them to see each other so he asked if she could come and live with us and we agreed.
Now we have grown to love this girl as if she were our own daughter. Find myself worrying and praying about her well being. Whole new dynamic with her in the mix along with my MIL

Teaching her to fish has been a lot of fun.

Guppy 01-31-2019 07:10 AM

Now there’s some good news :-)

Happy for you

fishgolf 01-31-2019 09:53 PM

Good news? I'm 65 this year. Just had a colonoscopy - clear, return in 2 years. Dermatologist exam - clear, 10 years since melanoma removal, no prob even with all the fishing and golf (sun block).
Primary care? Lost 23 pounds, BP 120/70. Cholesterol way low.
Changes diet to minimize carbs and dairy. Lots of summer veggies and proteins. Lots of 85% dark chocolate. A scotch during Bruins games.
Lost the weight in 6 weeks.

Anyway, Bigfish was looking for good news and I guess that is what I have...

Can't wait for spring.
Best to all.

Peg lost her younger sister, mother and two close friends this year to cancer, so the good news is somehow she made it through and agreed to leave on an extended vacation to heal and recover. We are looking forward to a couple warm weeks in Hilton Head and then a couple in Sarasota FL. Looking like mid 70's this coming week here in HH, so it's golf in shorts and walks on the beach, dinners out and lots of beer.

I'm officially unemployed as of friday! I know at first this doesn't seem
like good news but the job has been killing me with stress for the last 4 years and I've had too much clouded judgement to leave......so yeah....this IS good news! Here's to a poorer but happier future for me!

fishgolf 02-03-2019 11:00 PM

Jenn, change is good! Good luck with whatever you decide to do! No fear!!

Thanks :) still not sure what I want to do when I grow up! Little scared but excited for the chance to figure it out! I've been in Client Services for the same (but changed hands) company for over 16 years....not so sure I'm ready to jump back into the same sort of thing. Feeling a little burnt out on being a CS person :(
