Nixon says he will “fight like hell” against impeachment, while still engaged in a massive coverup. He is desperately hiding certain incriminating evidence.

It would come out 6 months later and he resigned 8/9, damaging the GOP massively in mid-terms.

History has repeated? Is that a fact? Or another one of your endless opinions?

The hot new conservative argument is that abusing power for demonstrably corrupt ends is not impeachable.

I haven't heard conservatives making such an argument. As PaulS would say, can you provide a link to conservatives saying that? Or are you just making stuff up--opinion morphing into actual fiction. Schiff did that when he quoted the transcript with his made-up version. You leftists are proficient at that.

If nothing else, this massive joke will really just give the Dems an excuse for not doing ANYTHING since they lost the election.
They'll "claim" that they were busy working on some plan/policy/bill or whatever they can fabricate, but it will really just be an excuse for being useless as tits on a bull.

Never mind that when Trumplicans controlled both houses they did very little, remember Floridaman had to misappropriate the funding for his fence.

So-Called ‘Do Nothing Democrats’ Have Actually Passed Close To 400 Bills Without GOP-Led Senate Taking Action On Them.

I can quote people on this site making that argument, though you claim it is not a crime or impeachable.

In July 2016, Trump famously asked Russia to find Hillary Clinton’s “missing” emails. When asked if he was making a joke, Trump said no. Later that same day, Russian intelligence made its first effort to break into the servers used by Clinton’s personal office.

the Trump Campaign also tried to obtain Clinton’s emails via Russian hackers through the work of Peter Smith, an investment adviser active in Republican politics. Smith kept Michael Flynn and Trump Campaign co-chairman Sam Clovis updated on his efforts. But was that directed by Trump himself?

“After candidate Trump stated on July 27, 2016, that he hoped Russia would ‘find the 30,000 emails that are missing,’ Trump asked individuals affiliated with his Campaign to find the deleted Clinton emails. Michael Flynn — who would later serve as National Security Advisor in the Trump Administration — recalled that Trump made this request repeatedly.”

Trump has said that he would have no qualms accepting “foreign dirt” on an opponent if it would help him win and would not alert the FBI. And even after his call with Zelenskyy was made public, Trump once again suggested a foreign government should interfere in the election; this time, asking China to investigate the Bidens. Republicans, looking for anyway to defend the indefensible, said Trump’s comments were just a joke.

But, during the same week as the President’s remarks on China, Michael Pillsbury, an informal White House adviser on China, said that he’d pressed Chinese officials for information on Hunter Biden and he also told the Financial Times that he’d received information about Biden during a recent visit to Beijing.

Meanwhile, White House trade adviser Peter Navarro declined to answer questions about whether he’d asked Chinese officials about the Bidens during trade talks. Instead of saying “No, that never happened,” Navarro said any questions about this were “inappropriate.”

Trump has repeatedly asked foreign governments to interfere in U.S. elections to help him maintain political power. And there is no reason to expect him to stop. This is what’s at stake in his impeachment.

Yeah, no doubt those one sided narratives sooth your TDS soul, but they are not verifications of your spin that conservatives argue that actually abusing power for demonstrably corrupt ends is not impeachable.

The funds were properly appropriated.

By Congress for other purposes and then redirected without authority by Floridaman.

Here is another fact about Floridaman that many people say, he may not be smart, he may not be moral, he may not be talented, he may not be knowledgeable and he may not be just but he does wear very very long ties.

The Supreme Court ruled that Trump could divert Pentagon funds towards the construction of his border wall with Mexico. So he did have proper authority. Are you making stuff up again?

I appreciate the sense of humor. It's a cute little story.

But are saying that it is actually a "fact" about Trump? I begin to see why it is so difficult to have a rational conversation with you. We have different conceptions of simple and fundamental things such as what is a fact.

wdmso 01-23-2020 09:18 PM

I never expected the Senate to remove Trump.

But if Republicans want to hang their hats on he did nothing wrong period.
They are setting themselves up as the Drip drip of information which clearly shows his intent .keeps driping into 2020 election.

71% of Americans clearly see the refusal to hear from officals or have new evidence enter into the record . As problematic ,
Then you have his campaign, no debates? Only interviews on Fox rallies in safe states and swing districts..

TRUMP needs to convince those who voted hesitantly with the I'll give him a chance vote..

The they gave him a chance crowd isn't just going to ingnore Trump in his entirety, just because the economy is good .

Well see
