It is no longer IF we are going into recession. It is how deep and how long.... And in case you did not connect the dots, tariffs are another way to raise taxes, without raising taxes......

The shyte will really hit the fan when rural red states realize wealthy liberal cities have been subsidizing them all along once these federal cuts either just eliminate services they depend upon or state taxes go up to compensate. Now the deficit increase, by making the wealthiest tax cuts permanent, is estimated at 9 Trillion over ten years. The only way to legally pass this is for the House to use an alternative model where the cost is estimated at zero because it’s off of the current baseline — where the taxes are in effect — rather than as a spending increase after they expire. This is like me running a 10k a month visa bill when I earn 7k, yet claiming my new bill of 11k/mo is only 1000 dollars higher so everything’s great! Anyone who is rightly concerned about our national debt should be wretching over what’s being proposed. |
What a scam he pulled on the people who voted him into office, lower prices day one (nope), reduce the deficit (nope), make America great again; if becoming hated by our allies and loved by the dictators of the world is the definition yup. The rich and insiders are poised to start buying the bargains. Buckle up this recession will be a tough one. Hey Marsh are we winning now?
I feel so bad for the veterans who served our country proudly and are getting a royal screwing by this administration. The veterans still serving are worried about our national security as those in charge are carelessly discussing sensitive national security intel over a commercial app, while all our adversaries are loving that fact and are likely reading the chats with smiles on their faces. |
I thought the Boss said no more politics.
Stop this crap!!! |
2 trillion dollars erased in the markets today.

Guys you need to give him a chance, I know everybody wants the prices of groceries to drop, but he’s starting with the price of stocks. I’m sure groceries will be next.

She didn’t earn that in one day. And she’ll never get it back in one day.. now if she had another 12 years working . Then she could recover. But she was looking to retire in 3. And things aren’t looking like they are going to improve anytime soon. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Update her account is now down 48k. Even my account that was moved to minimum risk is down 5k.. 5 trillion gone and they’re still talking tax cuts. :bs:

Had to look unfortunately, I’m down $55K, i just hope that is the bottom. Anyone have any doubts about how this genius bankrupted so many companies? I can only hope enough republicans see the writing on the wall after so much public outrage across, not only this country, but the world and start to stand up against Trump. Like many advisers my managers weren’t predicting a recession, but they obvious didn’t think this administration could be this economically stupid.

I don’t see why anyone would worry Bessent said we should be reassured by the market working very smoothly Friday.
And the rest of the cabinet understands the plan. You can see that because they were on TV at the same time: NAVARRO: “This is not a negotiation.” LUTNICK: “Of course they are” open to negotiation. So with that clarity I’m sure the markets will react appropriately on Monday. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Of course this sort of assumes US manufacturers don’t import raw materials or foreign suppliers can’t sell into other markets. What would be kind of silly haha funny is if we tariffed everyone so US suppliers wouldn’t sell as much abroad either so those markets would need lower cost suppliers. Haha silly. We’re gonna be rich. |

Today will be more of the same where every American, blue, red or purple, suffer while more of their hard earned retirement savings go down the drain. The country voted for change, but this was not what they expected. Many thinking about retirement might need to keep working and at the same time they will be looking at higher prices making saving harder, are we all winning now. I think Trump has solidified his place in the history books as the worst president of all time.

Any wonder why 10 of the last 11 recessions since 1953 began under republican presidents. Anyone wonder if what Trump and his rich buddies aren't just manipulating the markets so they can cash in on this, something inside traders would be convicted of, but since the supreme court gave him immunity he is doing what he does best; screw people to enrich himself.

Someone blinked…. Can’t wait to see the spin.
