Nope, it's in Connecticut. :laughs: :bshake:
Okay, here is one in your home state. Here is Mr. Crazy Alberto (= 1/2 of Team Aquaskinz) taking a nap. Apparently the rats woke him up. What rockpile is it? |

oops here is the pic...
|
I know that rock, but his rod butt is throwing me off. I've studied the granite pattern........................................... .........north-east side of Beavertail, up about 300 yards from parking lot number six.
Right |
Nope. :laughs: :hihi:
|
Just north of hazard ave, the big rock shaped like a cone, just before that nice little bowl.
|
Nope. :hihi:
|
It's beyond me.
Rats, rats like jetties, but the rocks look too big. Could be Quonny. Could be any place. |
C'mon, I gave you a HUGE hint (the rats.) Hint: it's WEST of Sakonnet, that's all I'll tell ya.
|
FWW--thanks for the clue: WEST of Sakonnet. And the rats. So I'm looking for a hundred ton rock west of................................................ .................I got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
500 paces up from the last house on Ledge Road. Sorry that took so long. |
:laughs:
|
|
Bretton reef?
|
Well framed shot.
I did some scouting today--man was the water clear. Real nice. I like walking the spots that I fish, over and over again. Imagination is funny, it can make a cloudy day sunny. |

Yeah, I remember it being cold too.
Bruce - pic of Alberto is at Watch Hill Light. Habs is  just to the right. Goosefish :uhuh: |
Damn...I just got back from dinner and I was going to say watch hill:smash:
I cant believe clammer's shot stumped me.. I'm all over those rocks all the time... nice shot clammer! |
Yeah I've fished that bridge in the cold.
FWW--ever fish that tiny jetty, that kind of sits out in the middle of nowhere, serving little purpose, except maybe to save one of the private beaches from losing all of its sand? Its west of Big Bridge and east of the Tashmoo opening? |
THe current there ripppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppssssssss
|
:uhuh: hooked up with an albie one morning from there after fishing all night.
|
EBen ,remember =BLOW__IN up Bloooofish:laughs:
|
EBen , use to be in the art show every June on that lawn ,next to the towers, that photo sold well, but I got some better ones////////////////////:laughs:
FWw how did you Ho that from me ??????????/:confused: |
I got my ass kicked at that bridge jigging squid. Something big liked the squid jig and just took off under the bridge. 10# test on a freshwater rod, never had a chance :(
There's a place a few miles away where I spent a lot of cold Oct nights with a honkin' NW wind, and never felt the cold--in fact, I wound up sweating from bailing fish. On a honkin' NW, you can cast an eel clear to the other side (hint, hint). ;) |
Sounds like we got some Derby guys here. I started fishing the derby in 1985--you guys remember the size of the bluefish that year, down on that sweet little beach, up island. I think some world records were set that year on fly and feather weight gear.
I haven't won a thing not even a daily:smash: Anyone say Jonah??????????????????????? |

I dunno, you said CT (never fished there) but it also looks like Moriches looking west from the Cupsogue jetty. |

Nope--the other side isn't built up enough for it to be Shinnecock ;) No buildings, no parking lot.
'Course I've never seen that one by daylight so I could be wrong :D |
Now I'm really in trouble, I can't remember where that photo was taken! :laughs:
|
my first thought was shinne .
|

Wait...it is Shinny. I think. The East side is the 4WD access (see the sand sleds). The photo is looking NE from the SW.
|
Nope--the sleds aren't allowed on the beach until somewhere west of that side. Also, the west jetty at Shinney has a tower on the end. All Moriches has on the west side is a small flasher 100' from the end of the jetty and an old, rusted-out pole 40' south of the flasher---which I've lost fish to from time to time when they run around the front end :smash:
|
I'm confused. :laughs: Could have sworn it was Shinny. The opening of the inlet to the ocean is to the right, while the body of water heading towards the canal is to the left. No?!!!! By the way, this pic was taken in 1997, I think.
-WW |
well where ever it is Im pretty sure I fished it
|
.
|
I GREW UP OUT THERE.... ITS THE WEST SIDE IF SHINNECOCK LOOKING EAST BACK INTO THE BAY
