Congrats John, not a bad place to work. You can hit the surf right after work.

Outstandin', John, that's great news - man, it's always darkest before the dawn, ain't it.

Listen, once season starts you're welcome to park your eels in my patio livewell until you get off work - I'll show ya a couple of places where they can be put to good use.

Best of luck with your new job!

fishweewee 01-14-2004 09:25 AM

Mr. Sandman 01-14-2004 10:04 AM

Less money BUT I bet the commute is better!!!!
And most important (in my view) your LIFESTYLE will be far better without hauling your butt to the city...more time to spend with family and boat.
Good luck! and Congrats!

Bernzy 01-14-2004 10:04 AM

Saltheart 01-14-2004 11:45 AM

Congrats John.

Few hours shorter commute per day and some great fishing in the area might make up for a little less salary! I think there are about 800 spots along the newport coast so you shouldn't get board.

JHABS 01-14-2004 12:25 PM

Hey John R Now you can be a REGULAR at CODDINGTON BREW PUB.....BLUEBERRYS

Pete 01-14-2004 01:11 PM

That's great John! Tony and I feel your pain about that "what I used to make" part, but it's definatly better than unemployment.

Congrats John

We can hear you now(,Honey I'll be working late real late)

schoolie monster 01-14-2004 04:00 PM

John, that's really good to hear. Considering the $$ spent on commuting and the stress and time, that's gotta equal things out a bit.

I know that's a big weight off the shoulders.

Worry about a salary increase on the second day.

Congrats.

I'm just glad that means you'll have your boat ready by next season

Boat fish are way more fun than surf fish.

Crafty Angler 01-14-2004 05:35 PM

Boat fish don't count.
