Make sure you all stop by the MSBA Junior's/grand raffle table(Upstairs) to say hello. I will be working it for a good part of both days.

Or look for the greying guy wearing a red MSBA t-shirt with "Striper Swipers" on the back, I will be working somewhere.

Stop buy, say hello, and maybe even buy a chance and support the junior members at the same time with a raffle ticket purchase.

HUGE raffle prizes this year !!!

I'll be there Saturday with the Usual Suspects, (DZ, Uncle Zeke and Too Tall EdB), we're driving up together from the Island.

If ya don't know what I look like, I'll be the short Italian/Pork-a-cheese guy with white hair and mustache (me and Clamma together look like a coupla snowshoe wabbits) - I'll also be standing next to EdB who's tough to miss in a crowd. Myself, I'm a little ...uhhh...vertically challenged. :p

Hey Alberto :wavey: I'll see ya at your seminar and stop by the booth - I got a little something for ya from Rho Dylan to hang in the 'Skinz corporate office suite on Lawn Guyland.

Moses, hope to see ya there - and run into the rest of you S-B guys I missed at the RISAA show.

See ya Saturday :ss: I'm lookin' forward to it, never been before.

MSBA Plug Project Debut!...

Thanks to the contributions and support of some great individuals,
I am going to debut the current entries for the Plug Project Collection at the MSBA show this weekend.

For those who have contributed to this collection who have not given me a brief bio about yourself, and how long you have been building your own, please try to PM me as soon as you can so I can add your information to the book that will accompany this display.

This project is still young, and I encourage anyone who is...
or has... built their own plugs to make their mark in this tradition by becoming a part of this travelling display.

This is a unique opportunity to feature the talents and innovation of plug makers at all skill levels, and I look forward to seeing your signature creations as a part of this growing collection.

Thanks again to those who have come on board with this so far.

It's not too late to get your work into the display debut for Saturday & Sunday.

For those attending the event who would like to add their work to the collection, feel free to bring your addition with you and I'll mount it into one of the cases there.

If you are interested in joining this collaborative project, please PM me to make arrangements to join the ranks of others who share in the satisfaction of building their own lures, and for those who are inspired by the innovative work of others, and for those who simply share in the love of the sport!

Contact information is available in the Plug forum under the PLUG PROJECT UPDATE thread.

Thanks again!

Bliz :)

hey Ben you better find an alternate route . and the same goes for anyone passing west to east thru Ct . we lost another bridge on 95 last night .

Saltheart 03-26-2004 10:06 AM

Be there early sat. From CT , you could go up 84 to Mass oike and then down to rt 3.

Chunker of Death 03-26-2004 10:14 AM

Ragfly and I are going tomorrow. See yah there, Salty.

Saltheart 03-26-2004 11:21 AM

I should be there unless I run outta $$. Nothing worse than going to a show like that and not having some pocket $ for fun. ;)

Now I have to figger an easy way to get from 84 to Pawtucket, other than the usual two-hour scenic vista of US 44 from Hartford.

I don't have the stomach for all of the overflow traffic that'll be taking the Merritt. With 95 open, the Merritt is a fuster-cluck on a Friday. It'll be 100 times worse tonite.

Seems a waste to back-track down 91 to New Haven once you're already in Hartford--any other alternate routes to get from 84 to 95 east of the closed area?

chris L 03-26-2004 02:56 PM

route 8 south . thats the best west of new haven . to pawtucket 84 to 90 to 495 to 95

Mike P 03-26-2004 03:14 PM

Yeah, I was afraid of that. It's still 2 more hours no matter how ya slice it, when Hartford and Providence are only 60 miles apart as the crow flies. 2 hours as the car crawls on 44, or two hours on the Great Circle route via Sturbridge and Marlboro.

It boggles the mind that in the year 2004, there is still no modern highway between Providence and Hartford :wall:

chris L 03-26-2004 04:24 PM

thats the state of Ct for ya . they probably were going to but Rowland put the money into his lake front cottage.

Mike P 03-28-2004 12:24 PM

The route we wound up taking actually wasn't that bad---or wouldn't be bad on a "normal" Friday night. Out of the City, we took the Hutch to I-684, north to I-84 in Danbury, then we took I-691 in Waterbury which joins 91 about 15 miles north of New Haven, and picked up 95 at the Q-Bridge.

However, there was an accident on 684 in Katonah, plus 2 miles of merge delay getting onto 84. Then stop and go thru Danbury. Instead of going straight thru to Pawtucket, we stopped for the night in Branford, then went right to the show. But that route is something good to know if I have to make a Friday evening run up this way.

My sister has a really nifty new Dell that I'm "borrowing" :D
