3 hours to the canal when I push it.......another hour to head of the meadow and race area(if traffic is light).......thinking about trying a 5 hour trip to Long Beach Island in Jersey after thanksgiving.

freshwater 5-20 min (no sleep needed)
saltwater 2-4 depending on where I go (HMMM...I must drive slower or make more stops that Rappin Mikey??!!!!):rolleyes:
trips around the two hour mark I will drive home or crash (sleep) in 4runner. the long haul(4 hours) will camp for the weekend or if travelling alone will crash (sleep) in 4runner.
sometimes there is an occasional motel stay

1 hour to my favorite "local" spot up on the NorthShore
2.5 hours to the cape
2.25 hours to rhode island

every trip has been worth it so far.

I can be in Milford, CT in an hour, but it takes me 4 1/2-5 hrs to get to my favorite spot...Race Point!

On average it looks like it takes almost everyone 1 hour and change to fish. There are a lot of pretty dedicated fisherman here!:D

Like what mikey said, us western mass guys it takes 3.5 hours. 3 hours if your doing 90mph with the radar detector going at about 2 am.

1/4 tank round trip to WH/Weekapaug

1/8 tank round trip to Gansett

1/2 tank round trip to Back Beaches

1/16 tank round trip to the end of my street or 3 minute walk

1/3 tank round trip to my favorite So Shore Mass spot (that has forsaken me :af: )

1/4 tank round trip to work which puts me 5 minutes from the salt but I never seem to fish it :smash:

Believe this or not $515.00 last month just chasing stupid fish. Thank god I don't drink, smoke, gamble or chase women. I just work and fish. That way my wife doesn't have anything to b&^ch about.

Any where from 5 min to 40 min depending were and when I go fishing??
I live right in the middle of the Cape!! And there isn't a fish to be found in the middle of the summer :smash:

who's bright idea was it to move here anyway :smash:
