Bad day for Raider Ron...plenty of room on the band wagon Ron! :bgi: :bgi: :bgi: :bgi: :bgi: :bgi: :bgi:

Raider Ronnie 09-25-2005 07:10 PM

Man,
2 games today with scores or 23-20 and last second field goals to win :bc: :wall:

BigFish 09-25-2005 07:11 PM

Yeah...tough games all around! Pats took some bad hits for injuries today....I don't like how that looked! :( Great game though...both teams played hard!

basswipe 09-25-2005 07:14 PM

No matter......what a great game!

Slipknot 09-25-2005 07:42 PM

:bgi:
a win is a win

atleast those turnovers and all those penalties didn't cost us :D
Cower blew the game by not running some time off the clock before their last score :D thanks Bill :D Tom appreciates it. I was worried that we used our last time out too soon, glad it didn't come back to bite us.

Larry, I thought they looked GREAT considering all the injuries and playing a really good Steelers team. They pulled it off as usual. We have a tough schedule this year so we have a long road ahead of us.
Just hope Harrisons knee isn't as bad as I think it is...
I'll tell ya what...Seymore earned his pay today.

GO PATS!

Hooper 09-26-2005 06:23 AM

Fishaholic, you hit the nail on the head. The Pats schedule this season is insanely difficult.

A coworker of mine was at Gillette stadium recently and the group he was with got a chance to meet Bob Kraft. He said Kraft was great, spent time talking with them, answering questions, good PR stuff. He told the group that the NFL does not want the Patriots to win again this season, basically it's ABP, anybody but Pats! The comisssioner wants a whole league of 8&8's........ wow, wouldn't that be great :rollem:

fishsmith 09-26-2005 06:55 AM

Brady's/Pats 4th quarter was unbelievable, marching down the field with no timeouts 1:20 on the clock, and playing like the defense was not on the field. Patriots football, don't miss a minute!!
What would Belichick/Media do a Pats receiver who gained all those yards to give it away by means of lateral inside the 20??

GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!

afterhours 09-26-2005 07:01 AM

patriots out toughed the supposed toughest team in the nfl. game should'nt of even been close.

That's funny, I've heard the same stuff. NFL doesn't want Pats to win again, they claim Pats are boring and have no superstars. They want parity so they dish out the toughest schedule in the history of NFL to slow us down. Just another obsticle to overcome. Pats feed on that chit. :bshake:

BigFish 09-26-2005 07:44 AM

The Pats like "chit"-lins! :bgi:

That just might explain that bogus interference call at the end of the game that gave Pittsburg the opportunity to tie it up. That was basically a jump ball with the offensive player making as much contact as the defensive player. :realmad:

Surfcastinglife 09-26-2005 10:31 AM

of course it's speculation to this point BUT, espn reported in the pats-steelers post game column that rodney harrison is believed to have torn his acl and matt light appears to have a fracture of his ankle or an achilles injury. marquis hill is said to have left the locker room in crutches with his foot in a boot.........WOW talk about bad injuries.....think troy can play safety :jester:

I was thinking that also. Was a bad call for sure. Let them f$#@!^ play...It is Football.

Vectorfisher 09-26-2005 03:06 PM

No way it was the right call if the Pats defender wasn't mugging him he would have had the catch, Cmon for the first down.

afterhours 09-26-2005 03:14 PM

vf- did we see the same play? :rollem:

fishaholic18 09-26-2005 03:53 PM

How about the bonehead lateral that Randel Ell tried to get to Hines Ward???
That wasn't too intelligent. :whackin:

Totally agree there.

Don the 4th and 16 play would have drawn a flag in every game in the NFL the defender obstructed the receiver in a way he could not get the ball, I got the replay over and over no way was that not PI

afterhours 09-26-2005 04:53 PM

vic-clearly looked like both were going for the ball. junk call, but no matter. i heard some steeler fans on eei today- sobbing monkeys. still thought that the steelers were the best team and that brady was nothing special :rollem: 12 for 12 in the 4th 160yds.

BigFish 09-26-2005 05:15 PM

They just don't know when to give up the ship....so let the monkeys drown...we will drink champagne! :bgi: That Randle El play is the reason the Steelers are always the bridesmaid and never the bride....bad decisions....Cower does not have his team as disciplined as Belichik!

Slipknot 09-26-2005 05:45 PM

I hear Harrison has a torn ACL :crying: :crying:

Did anyone watch San Diego last night? :scatter: they look good
but Bill will have a plan

afterhours 09-26-2005 05:49 PM

...and light has a broken bone.

BigFish 09-26-2005 05:52 PM

Yeah, I watched the first half. Our secondary can't cover an effin' footstool, so don't get too worried.

Plus, Coughlin sat Burress down the entire first quarter because he was late for one of the countless stew-pid meetings he has every effin' week :wall:

afterhours 09-27-2005 06:08 AM

just watched the replay on matt lights injury. again it looked to me like a cheap shot by a freekin' steeler! light was down and the steeler tumbled on his legs.

ProfessorM 09-27-2005 09:09 AM

I thought it looked like Koppen rolled up on it when he was pushed down? What ever has happened with both it will be tough to overcome these two critical injuries, but if anyone can they can with their past history. Will be real tough though. P.

Rodney's loss will be big, he is a freakin' animal out there and the leadership he provides is amazing. Plus, he seems like a real stand up good guy, I'd like to have a brew with him someday.... :gu:

Vectorfisher 09-27-2005 03:45 PM

Hey whats this I hear that a minute was added to the timeclock in the game, Pats would have got the ball with like 29 seconds if it werent for the clock mistake, NICE !!!

The Dad Fisherman 09-27-2005 04:03 PM

Hey, its your stadium....Good catch by Cowher, Oh yeah He missed it.......Maybe thats why he's ring-less.... :rollem:

I'll bet ya my left nut Billachamp knew it. :rotf3:
Shame on the home team. That's almost as bad as the lateral.
Poorly coached I guess. :rollem:

afterhours 09-27-2005 06:10 PM

steeler fans frequent that store -"excuses are us".

That 52 seconds was added at the *beginning* of the quarter... not the end of it. :rollem:

afterhours 09-28-2005 08:14 AM
