I guess I will be making some plugs with Riverrat2... :bl:....going full speed ahead on the BigFish Plug Shop Project...I want to finish the exterior post haste and get the inside insulated and finished and get my benches and work space set up...also get the wood stove throwing some heat! Then build plugs all winter until my arms fall off! I am planning on having a couple conventional rods made for me.....more work on the house.....shop for new BigFish sand sled! :ss:

ThrowingTimber 11-10-2005 05:58 PM

Habs said I should find a wife and that I fish too much

basswipe 11-10-2005 06:27 PM

Once fishing is over I'll have to find a new addiction.Maybe I'll take up a little
casual crack smoking.

TheRattBoy 11-10-2005 07:22 PM

"HOMEwork"
Spin plugs
and continue to enjoy Guinness ( thanks Vic  ) :usd:

Peter Lajoie 11-10-2005 07:28 PM

Build some new rods and re wrap a couple warriors.Work will also get allot tougher over the winter, due to the holidays...and probaly start working out again, so I can walk that 60 pounder back to the rig.. :bl:

Gotofish 11-10-2005 07:38 PM

Play some LAX, play some hockey, get everything on The Gotofish in order for next year-actually, get my life in order while I'm at it, throw some 1/2 oz. jigs at Clammah in Prov., and try not to go stir crazy in my cave of a home.

Iceman, where do you skate?

Raider Ronnie 11-10-2005 07:51 PM

I picked up my gps phones from mass highway tonight, so
I'm hoping to be pushing lots of snow all winter again!
Maybe some cod fishing when weather allows!
Going to get down to Wareham at some point to have Mike CC to build a few more custom boat rods.

Bazza 11-10-2005 08:37 PM

Looking forward to do some skiing. Unfortunatly, both my kids have out grown their stuff from last year. That mean less $ for plug /tackle purchases. I hope do some more moutain biking, (been out a few times the last few weekends) until the snow starts.

Rebuild a bunch of reels that got hard use this year. Maybe wrap a new rod or two...or four or five.Purchase some new equipment for the boat and install it. Tie bucktails, make plugs, pour rubber.Visit tackle shops,go to tackle/sportsman/boat shows.Read a fishing book or two. Get the truck running right. Tell the wife I'll paint the living room, someday.Invent and manufacture, in the USA, a spinning reel that will combine all the best attributes of the finest reels out there and still cost under 200 bucks.
Practice posing for the magazine cover shot I'll get when I catch that 93 pounder thats been eluding me. Daydream about fishing...alot. Spend time lurking on internet fishing sites.Think about retiring so I can spend more time fishing. That's about it.

Remodel the bathroom in a weekend, paint the basement floor and catch up on all the crap I have been putting off sense last may. Ice fish

tynan19 11-11-2005 07:51 AM

I forget what I like about winter. :devil2:

Gotofish I believe he lives in New York. I still play hockey 1 to 2 times a week.

Just spent some cash on upgrades for the snowmobiles. I couldn't justify a VS this season but I just doubled that in performance sled parts.

Gotofish 11-11-2005 08:35 AM

Thanks Tynan,...just wondering if any of the RI guys skate.

I forgot to add that the main plan and highlight of the winter will be staring at the Hab-a-Tat girls at the shows!!!

gone fishin 11-11-2005 08:49 AM

Boy !! Sounds like all have plenty to do. I have to build a better dust collecting system before I blow up my cave.

BIGFISH GOING CONVENTIONAL ??? - That's sort of like fishing from a BOAT!

gotofish - Why don't you consider paying your cell phone bill while your at it. - call me from a pay phone. team rosters should be out today.

Winter Projects - making my wife forget how often I was gone on the boat, and remember how nice it was to have the charter tips in the summer.

Gotofish 11-11-2005 09:06 AM

Thanks Jay. My cell was stolen on Tues...and after someone from work recieved 12 pics of a d**k, I figgered I should shut it off.

Why don't you go to work.....

big jay 11-11-2005 09:18 AM

Now I have to explain to Katie why I'm laughing hysterically.

I got a job as a caretaker at The Overlook Hotel. I'm working on a book project, and the quiet should help me get my thoughts together.
Funny, when I went for the interview - it felt as if I had been there before.....
Oh well, all work and no play make Jack a dull boy.

No wife!No kids! 9 days!!!!! :devil2:
OHHHHHHHHh man! come on March

striperman36 11-11-2005 04:02 PM

Panama!!
Man frigging fantastic

Cranium 11-11-2005 04:17 PM

TSPS- I live in Norwell, we had our son on 02/03/04. This is how I went fishing, the little man would sleep for about 3-4 hours at a time. With the early am snack at about 3 or 4am. I would volunteer to take that feeding, then sneak off for a couple of hours to the nriver or scituate beaches. Come home shower then work. I was lucky he slept thru at about 6-7 months, in time for the fall run.

I will spend winter, avoiding my wife, turning plugs, working, busy time of year for me, watching fishing videos with my boy, and will try to get fish gear organized, believe the last is a big project
Mark

Do some much needed trim repair on the house that I have been putting off for a few years. I figure if I can get it re-trimmed over winter early spring then my wife can paint it while I go fishing. :D

TSPS 11-11-2005 04:45 PM

Cranium ,

I live in Scituate ,That's outstanding , you get points for feeding the baby , making the wife happy and you can fish everyday :jump:

I will definetly use that one

Thanks

:bl: I like a well crafted plan.......might I add the idea of prepriming all the trim as it goes up, that way when you're going out the door with the fishing gear you can later say "Honey I even primed it for you".

Got Stripers 11-11-2005 09:18 PM

Once I get my move past me, which is taking shape quickly, I will be back to doing some of my favorite striper fishing. In a lot of ways I really look forward to my winter fishing, it's simple and stupid, sometimes you can't beat that.

gone fishin 11-11-2005 09:38 PM

Mac - you know you will never get away with that!
