Sluggoslinger: this is a great idea, BUT if you are going to get JohnR the Zeebaas, we should "buy" the one from Surflawyer (he is offering it for $1000 - see post #24 on this thread above). Keep in mind we would be helping him out as well. :)

Surflawyer's reel comes with TWO spools where the std kit has ONE spool. The reel direct from then is a "savings" of $26.00 and JohnR would get two spools and a low serial number as well !

$20 in the mail this morning. Keep an eye out for it. :eyes:

How much do we need and how much do we have? Are we getting the deal reel with two spools?

I think I remeber seeing on the Zeebaas site somewhere you can get custom engraving on the side plate. Maybe they would be kind enough to put the SB logo on the side plate for John once this is done. :cheers:

I'm planning on coming by the striperfest for a litle while. If you don't meet up with me there you can just mail the check or use paypal. I think we are getting very close (in commitment money). As of this post, we have about $400 collected. My spreadsheet is on my work computer so I'll have a better update for you all tomorrow.

Also, the idea of getting it ingraved is a great one. I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out.

If we don't collect enough for a Zeebaas, could we just go with an engraved VS, and if possible an extra spool?
