BTW, there is a little sand open at the north side ranger station now - you can drive on the beach and turn around - that's it. At least it is a start.

Damn....I am gonna run down for my sticker!:smash:

The problem with the whole thing is we do not spend enough of money there. On one sunny weekend with the parking lots full they make more money than they do off of oversand stickers. And all you need is a couple of life guards to watch the people in Speedos, no late night patrols. Just read the read opinion page in the Cape Cod Times. Opinions are agaist us. I hope for the best but it seems unlikely to gain any more access. By the way I did buy a sticker this year. The beach south of Balston looks good for night fishing only , only a wish.

?????? are you kidding? 3000 stickers at $150 is $450,000 (and thats not including the self contained at a higher cost or the weeklies)Now I am not sure how many parking spaces there are at RP but I will guess 100. I think its $15.00 a day to park so $1500.00 a day for 60 days (july & aug) is only $90,000. Again I dont generally park in the lot so maybe my numbers are way off..... also as far as night patrols...I can tell you they arent patrolling like they should...or used to when the sticker was a quarter of the price. |
