Some days I have all I can do to get around and other days - no problem. I drive a jeep and without the sand sled I would have to give up fishing. It gets me to the water.

When I pull into a HP space I get plenty of looks. I will gladly swap my plate for a good back and good legs. I drive the jeep more than my toyota because it is easier to get in and out of.

Just remember, sometimes looks are deceiving. Re read ravens post again and try and put yourself in his shoes. He - like me has days when just getting out of a vehicle is tough.

definitely not referring to you !

in my shoes ........you say

today i was sheet rocking a third floor ceiling and building the staging over the stairwell to create a safety platform to work on...

my helper had to much to drink yesterday and couldn't work and he's gonna feel my wrath tomorrow in no uncertain terms....
so i had to do the whole thing by myself.....

AND ... if he ever leaves me in that scenario again working alone doing a two man operation i'll take it personal and kick his alcoholic ass from here back to florida....:af::af: am i pissed ? OHHH YEAH

i mean i feel like.... i've been doing a heavy work out at golds gym all friggan day... and i'm way pumped up, angry, and sore as hell.
i would've rather wrassled a grizzly bear...like jerehmia johnson

i had to rub lidocaine (Cocaine in a cream) on my ankle joint (because i can't take motrin ...gives me ulcers ect.)

to numb the "F " out of it.

My dad has COPD. If you saw him walk you would have no doubt that he is handicapped. He moved in with my family last year from New Hampshire. He had a N.H. placard. It has since expired. We filled out all the paperwork to get a Mass HP placard, including letters from several doctors. In 8 months the state has not come up with his placard. I pull into HP spaces, get him into his wheelchair and go park somewhere else. It isn't easy to get anything from the state of Massachusetts. It wouldn't surprise me at all if most of the folks you think are taking advantage are doing the best they can.

I also know someone who uses a 12 year old placard from someone who is no longer with us.(I always hope they get caught and publicly flogged for it)

Their handicap is ignorance.

Who cares. Let them have the handicapped plates. I'm happy I don't have one and can't qualify for one. There are certainly more important issues at hand.

I think that cabin fever has set in worse this year than any other year since I have been on this board.

That is one of the most intellegent comments on this thread yet. (I'm happy I don't have one and can't qualify for one. There are certainly more important issues at hand.) !!!!!!:musc:
