Hey Mike,
Way to go on some awesome fishing. Did you say that the damage was done last weekend? I huffed it out to the southside of Cuttyhunk last friday but the water was so dirty from the thursday storm that I decided not to fish it! I did find some good fishing back at Robinson's hole but I do feel like a jackass now.... Way to go on the big fish, and better yet, way to release it!

NOW THAT'S A BASS!!!!! I have gotten really tired of seeing pictures of 30" fish posted and what a great fight it gave.
That's the kind of fish we use to get into back when the Bass were numerous and HUGE.
Congratulations Mike. Great story, outstanding wordsmithing and an awesome fish!!!

Great read.

I made my wife read the post, and I think for the first time she understands why I go fishing.

Thank you

This is a great post for sure... I spent many summers on the hunk as a boy, but never fishied it:huh: I know that island like the back of my hand, and maybe next fall i'll get out there- A family friend has a shack out there... I think he leaves in early sept.... hmm time to :call:

I really enjoyed seeing this old thread again...boy, do I miss seeing the Hab's guy pop in with a remark...or bassmaster, krispy, fishweewee, etc.

Rocco, don't worry, the big cows of Cutty will come calling again...it's just being there at the right time and tide. Although Cutty is an island and there is usually a calmer side, allways, but always, give yourself at least a three day window for weather. I try to budget 8 to 10 days in October...if you've watched "Stripers Gone Wild" you understand why.

Mike

This is a great read over a nice cup of joe. Funny thing, last night I had a dream about being on an island and talking with an old salt who told me where the cows would be and then this morning I read this old post! Karma baby karma!
