Is there a doctor in the house!!! :D
|
I have More to. i seek help
|
Shoot...anybody can make a pointy stick and put hooks on it.Needles are nice but variety is the spice of life. Here's my stuff.
http://www.pixhost.com/pixp/poltroon/mvc-806s.jpg Hands off BM!!! Didya ever notice BM has little squid like suction cups on his fingers?Plugs just naturally stick to his fingers.Goes with the webby toes. I still got my plugs cause tattoo and slip run interference for me now. Hey Tattoo!I think that's really funny how you tell BM those darters are 2 oz. when there really 6 oz. It was a real hoot when he busted his rod last week.Think'll figger it out?....Nah.Not a chance.I think he should get one of them ugly stick thangs. Wait'll he finds out I cut his line every 100 ft and spooled it back on his reel. |
You guys are making me jealous. I got no nice plugs. :( I hope santa is nice this year.
|
|
so have a vote slip and tattoo or was that tattoo and slip.

LMAO - I'm thinking that both should be co-conspirators on the board - if they want to. Besides - it looks like there will be a team effort needed to stop this:

How's this?
|
Sweet stuff Tattoo. Nice work - I'll, uhh, have to inspect 'em a little closer like - knowhaddamean?
Seriously, nice plugs. How long have you been making them? |
John ,lmao.
tattoo, you been holdin out you pig |
John, been messing around with this for about two years now. This year was the make 'em catch fish AND look real pretty year.
Dave, holding out? Not me...:D |
FOLK'S
I THOUGHT I WAS BAD. THIS JUST CONFERMS WHAT I HAVE KNOWN FOR YEARS. FISHING STRIPERS IS NOT A SPORT, IT IS AN ADDICTION. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MUCH FISH CANDY! REMEMBER IT IS NOT SO MUCH ABOUT LENGTH, WIDTH, AND COLOR.AS IT IS ALSO ABOUT “PRESANTATION”. LATER  |
And to think I am still woking on my first bucket full. Looks like I have a long way to go.....
|
My inventory is about 2/3 of what BM has in his, uhh, first picture. Many of the plugs I have suck or at minimum, need a rework...
Of course, I fish EELZ |
Snakes huh? Maybe you could try out a "prototype" eel skin swimmer?
I haven't built one so it would really be a prototype. |

John,
Thats only what BM carries with him. Ask him whats in the hallway closet. :D |
What else do you really need?
OK - I'll bite - what's in the closet BM (just remember, we're a family friendly site :p ? |
When he says he bought 70 pink bombers he aint fibbin. It was really hard to see what was in there, some many reels, rubba things, and eye balls looking at you it was hard to focus.
It kind of looked like a rainbow, all kinds of pretty colors. |

what closet there all full??????
OOPPS, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, im driving my truck;) |
Hey Tattoo, BM and 10X10,
You know, part of what makes lures successful is their versatility. If you make a plug that only works in one area, well that's not a very good lure. This is why I propose you give me a bunch of lures to try out down here in CT land. Then I can try them here and if they work here, we can safely assume that it will work in all the areas inbetween. :D ;) So send me your lures. I'll run them around. |
Patrick..How is a plug that is created for a specific set of conditions at a certain location not successfull when it slaughters the fish while nothing else will. I would say it is the most successfull!! Why? Because the fisherman studied the area and came up with the perfect solution. Time to take your head out of the sand again.
Send them to you...why so you can look at them and fish them once a year? :p Charlie |
I agree Charlie, the only thing I have noticed is that LARGER plugs work better in certain areas than others. Like the canal, the bigger the better. Actually the whole cape for that matter.
Enough of a difference from one state to the next will keep you guessing. The guy who can figure it out in all states gets the stripe. Patrick, you only fish once a year? Charlie, tell them how hard it is to get plugs outta me...:D |
Charlie,
You're really messing up my plug scam. :) Tattoo, I fish as much as I can but this year, I haven't really had the heart for it. Just too much going on and scheduling conflicts and yadda yadda yadda. Plus our season hasn't been going so well down here. You know how it goes. |
A tattoo, didnt you see that sighn, It says closed plug bag,no ho's
|
Hey Buddy, I'm gonna get you license plate number and give it to the guy at the gate.
OK, it XXXXX..... Blank Stare...double check to see if that was the plate number, we left that poor guy dumbfounded. Ok so we got one vote, Does that count? |
Patrick, no I don't know how it goes. I force myself to go weather I want to or not. You cant sit home and catch fish from the couch!
Here's what I tell my wife in April, See you on Thanksgiving. :D You can imagine how well that goes over. CT must have fish, you just need to hunt for them. |
Sure patrick...What you got to swap?Hey!someone got yer tuna from the beach last week..... on a windsurfer.Wasn't you was it?
|
Ouch, ken its twinkie land here.
|
Trade eh? My interest is piqued.
Once I get the rod building thing going, how about a nice custom rod for some nice custom plugs? We'll hammer something out. Lots of variables to discuss. First and foremost, throughwired. and must have eyes. No fancy colors needed. Black, White and Yellow. We have smaller bait here so I need smaller plugs. Modeled after the big plugs but 1/2 oz to 2 oz. But I'm mainly looking for lures in the 1/2 to 1 1/4 oz area. Whatever designs you feel most comfortable with. small panlips, bottles, needlefish, and whatever else you make. Of course, the number of plugs I recieve is dependent on the outcome of my price and vice versa. If you are interested, I think we should charge each other just for materials. Why keep track of time and stuff when it's between friends? Now I give you my word. Believe me, I'm a man of my word. I'll do everything in my power to give you the rod you want. I'll test it, I'll get everything just right or I'll cut the threads off and start over, at my own cost of course. If either person is unhappy with the other's production, they reserve the right break the deal and keep their own goods. The only problem I can see is if you want a blank I can't get my hands on or a blank that's a 1 piece over 10 feet. Now, I'm not a rodbuilder yet. Just give me some time to get things down and when I get results that satisfy my highest standards, we'll knock out the odds and ends if you are interested. |
10X10, tonight is darter night.....interested? Place your order now....them four swimmers in the bottom of that picture look kinda cute. They single? :)
Patrick.....you gonna be the next Al Goldberg? :D Don't let them Epoxy fumes get to your head much longer..... |
OK - you got one vote
Patrick - when you have a couple years of rod building under your belt (as in building rods for 2 years and not you built a rod 2 years ago) you may wish to barter a bit. In the meantime, take a few of what you have, go down to the reef, and wet a line... |

Think of what all that money could by....a brand new sand sled with REAR heating. |
John,
Pretty please with sugar on top.. |
oh?you mean these?http://www.pixhost.com/pixp/poltroon/mvc-810s.jpgThe big fat yella one on the bottom swims so nice I think i'll call it Esther Williams.
So which ones do you like? The lips on those are too small don't wiggle real good but I got some big lips on the way. I want some of those big darters like bm broke that dinky little toothpick rod of his.Not me, I got a man's rod.You could whip a rabid grizzly bear to death with that thing.Flip that sucker right out there no sweat. |
