I got out last night for the full and very high tide and it was useless. 2 rats before the moon came up. As soon as it rose absolutley dead. Not a bite. And we were tossing large scary size eels. Nothing.
|
Last night was quite productive with a bunch of mid-high teen sized bass, untill the skys cleared. The storm fronts moved out, taking the clouds with them, and the fishing turned off like a light.
|
i got my first 4 keepers of the year in the past two nights surrounding the moon so i am a believer. last year in the june and september full moons we got into some pretty big schools late at night of teen size bass as well.

Was out on wed. night, big orange moon, caught 12 fish between 22 & 27 lbs. on live eel between 11:30 & 1 am, it was fairly cloudy. Went out last nite, same big orange moon but w/ clear skies caught a couple small fish 20" or so, hooked one big, approx 30lb. but lost at side of boat. fished from sunset till 3am very slow. In my opinion cloud cover & big moon:jump:

I did lousy from shore.
