I believe the company Toonoc works for is supposed to be repairing them. He was out there 2 years ago surveying all the seawalls.

My block

must be blessed. Never lost power. 1/4 mile away in Bolton the downed trees and powerlines look like hurricane damage. Downtown Clinton has 3 places open, a bar, a pizza joint and a packie. Can't ask for more than that, I guess. Solomon Pond Mall did open at 1 on Friday and was rocking yesterday. But try to buy a generator within 300 miles...

For once Northern RI escaped the Ice. Lots of rain, in fact the most that fell in RI was in my town, Burrillville 5.31 inches in 2 days. Some basement water but I have had worse. Never lost power and I'm heating 100% with wood so I didn't care anyway.

And the next Nebe or Spence who busts Bryan's *#@ls will be bitch slapped by me.:hihi:

Crafty Angler 12-14-2008 08:12 AM

I was starting to get concerned, Paul - I hadn't seen you online in a while -

That Burrillville is a wild place - heard they got wild emus running amok up there...:eek5:

tynan19 12-14-2008 09:30 AM

No power till possibly Fri. Looks like a tornado went thru here. Telephone poles are down not just wires.

As far as this storm went I guess I really don't have that much to complain about, considering what I've seen on the news.

I've got good temp fix for the chimney and the furnace got a full douching is now working again.

Been working like a madman. On the road in the since before Thanksgiving (Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Columbus, Chicago).
EOY for sales guys is hell on wheels. Management always wants that one last deal. Just haven't had any time for anything. I'll slow down after the 19th.

Happy Holidays!!!!

Sunday afternoon and we still don't have power and it looks more like Tuesday before we get it back. Last night it was 6 degrees here so the line crews were having a tough night. It should be warming up now for the next few days. Got heat but it would be nice to have water.

I saw the ice storm on the news - the last time I saw anything like that in RI was about a week before the blizzard of 78. Back then I was 13 and wayward - Yeeee Haaaa!
Looking back I'm glad I was a kid and not an adult for that storm.

Lucked out with just rain at my house but 25 minutes away I have a sister and some friends that got nailed with the ice (hilltowns). They are saying possibly no power until the 20th

Sis says the tress that didnt snap by friday are now snapping every time the wind blows.....

striperman36 12-15-2008 06:32 PM

Samething in Worcester

tynan19 12-15-2008 06:35 PM

Jenn 12-15-2008 06:38 PM

T19 not to mention VT trails (as I am sure NH & ME too) took a big hit :(

striperman36 12-15-2008 06:39 PM

How about some pictures?
I just got rain and my trees didn't fall, I am lucky

We are expected to get snow tomorrow night 1-2"

tattoobob 12-15-2008 07:06 PM

Maybe if these dumb asses would put they're wires under ground we wouldn't have this problem,

tynan19 12-15-2008 10:23 PM

I'd like to post pics but I can't use my comp.

Bob Thomas 12-16-2008 11:15 PM

Finally got power back tonight around 1600. Unreal storm! So much cleaning to do...chainsaw will be running for weeks! Trees hit the house, shed, deck, utility trailer....just never stopped. Now, they're calling for snow the rest of the week! What a mess....looks like a tornado went through Northern Worcester Cty!

tynan19 12-17-2008 10:03 AM

Were up in running too. I have a bunch of pics. Have spent the last 3 days cutting and clearing. My fingers are raw and can barely lift my arms.
