I wish I didn't have to say it, but I told you so.
On Friday, the Mansfield School System pink slipped over 100 people. Over 70 of those people were teachers.
*If* Mansfield receives the amount they are expecting from the bailout, the schools will still be at a $1-1.4 Million deficit. Discussions will be taking place over the next couple weeks about the possible need for even more layoffs.
Mansfield is on track to have over 40 kids per classroom throughout the school system. Are you okay with your kids being piled into classrooms with 35+ other students, in rooms made for only 25 students?
But this is just the schools doing what they always do, right? I told you guys this wasn't the same as past years. |
