Tattoo 01-18-2003 10:35 AM

I'm in for the clean up in May, and Slip, I got a pickup. If mine is too small, I'll get my old mans.

chris L 01-18-2003 10:47 AM

As long as work doesnt interfer then I want to help clear the land of brambles in May . I owe you big time Greg !

TheSpecialist 01-18-2003 11:34 AM

Greg I may also be able to help out in May. The only problem I forse is my Anniversry on tthe 21st, if that is a weekday, then the weekend after is with the wife.

GBOUTDOORS 01-18-2003 01:20 PM

You guys are the greatest and no one owes me anything it is I that got the most out of last years two Cuttyhunk trips not only did I get to the Island house a few last times but I got to be there with the nicest bunch of fishers that I now can call my friends. So please it is my pleasrue to do it all over agian this year :D :D My father is turnning his share of the Island land over to me and my sister so this should keep it in the family forever. Maybe next year a nice 28x36 summer cottage/fish club on the land:D :D I will take you all up on the offer of help and Slip the dingy would be great we will work on it.

Yes everything in the house went with it but someone took all the plugs he could find from the house the day before Thanksgiving:D :D :D :D they should look good hanging in the new cottage up on the hill.

:D good going on the pluggage Greg:happy: Those are some fine pieces of history, at least you have that.

Greg I may be able to fit the dingy in my van on an angle so I can get it to my house to change the gunnels and fasten the seats better, but it floats so what the hey.

GBOUTDOORS 01-18-2003 05:26 PM

Slip I can come up with the pickup and get it with you any time you wish just let me know. Thanks this will be great.

TheSpecialist 01-18-2003 08:27 PM

 Greg I think you can find all the labor you need for whatever you want to do out there, right here.

GBOUTDOORS 01-18-2003 08:33 PM

Mike the herring sounds like a good idea and with your boat and mine we could take over enough bait for some real fun. Yes Bill you are right and it will not take all that much to clear a spot for the tents as I had a good flat spot all clear a few years ago so I am thinking a little cutting and alot of fishing!!!!!!!!:jump:

JohnR 01-18-2003 08:39 PM

Greg, it's been an honor & a pleasure this past year :D

... and good work on liberating the plugs

GBOUTDOORS 01-18-2003 08:44 PM

Plugs what plugs:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Slipknot 01-18-2003 11:20 PM

dingy is at A&J in Marion just to let ya know. It shouldn't take much to get her ship shape, a little mahogany, a few screws and a coat of varnish on the new gunnel.

If I make it out there this year I want to fish where Fish-eye fished :D

Clammer 01-18-2003 11:40 PM

whatever you need Greg//

HOOTERS????????

JohnR 01-19-2003 08:27 AM

Clammer - you want to open a Hooters on Cuttyhunk :hihi: ?

Slip - is this a classic wooden dingy?

Clammer 01-19-2003 09:46 AM

how about
Cutty with Hooters & Stripers

OR "" "" Foxy & Strippers

          :laughs: :laughs: :laughs:

Slipknot 01-19-2003 10:09 AM

John, it's glass. only the gunnel is wood. But yes it is classic.
It has some repair to the bottom where my bud accidently ran it over with his 33' boat while negotiating the mooring:smash:

DRUMCORPFAN 01-19-2003 12:04 PM

Hey there GB
I can give you a hand clearing some space in may, i know you want to keep the group the same as last year, maybe keep me on a list for next time to go. but i can bring a chain saw and my back to help you out for now.:D

nightfighter 01-20-2003 02:34 PM

Yes on the May labor land clearing for me. The sooner you finalize a date, the better. Lemme know what you need for tools, etc.
And don't leave me out on the new cottage construction either GB. Maybe a kit home would work! How about a log construction project! PM me anyway.
And of course I would welcome any chance to get back for a fishin' fling with you all too!!!
Sending reel back to Okuma tmw for rebuild or replacement. Will update as soon as I know.
Swapping weekends with ex, means I am in for Feb 15 if room. PM me please.
Thanks
Ross

GBOUTDOORS 01-20-2003 08:32 PM

bloocrab 01-21-2003 12:05 PM

Greg, ...believe it or not, I can do more than dishes :D :D

I'd LOVE to help, and I won't even fish :eek: except for @ night - :heybaby:

Not many members know this but, GB is "ONE OF A KIND" :kewl:

I don't know many people who would invite - literally, strangers to his home, let alone trust them to roam anywhere they'd like...lead them to some select HOT-spots, take them for tours of the Islands on his boat, tidy up the house for us while WE fished ...provide a washer/dryer...grill, stove...my God, I could go on and on, but I won't ..because I don't want someone grabbing my spot!!! :D :D

Thanks again Greg, because of you and your generosity..I've come to meet some great people - on a personal level, explore an Island that had been nothing more than a fish-tale to me. You helped make the internet more real than virtual for me..and I'd like to thank you for that....I'm sorry for getting so mushy on ya...:crying: I LOVE YOU MAN!!

bloocrab 01-21-2003 12:12 PM

..not taking anything away from my last post, but I couldn't leave that post alone without adding Bruce to the "One of a Kind" list. 2 Grrrreat guys, that I hope consider me their friend.

Thanks fellas... :)

Bliz 01-21-2003 12:18 PM

GB,

Count me in on BOTH counts!

If you need help clearing land, simply let me know when, and I would be happy to help in any way that I can.

I could probably bring along a chain saw.
