Yep, lots of fun. Here is Liam reeling in his first fish of the night that I hooked and handed to him.

Great Story, Congratulations! Tough to tell who is more proud, Dad or Son? I have a 9 year old fish addict too....makes me smile looking over my shoulder at 3AM and seeing him cast out looking for a monster. Kind of puts life in perspective. Good Job Liam and John.

Way to go, Liam. I wish I would have left home sooner, so I could have seen it first-hand.

bassackward 08-19-2010 01:26 PM

That's awesome and what it's all about. Way to pay it forward for the next generation.

Rockport24 08-19-2010 01:47 PM

that is just awesome stuff and that is indeed what this crazy obsession of ours is all about

Saltheart 08-19-2010 02:00 PM

Congrats to both Dad and son for Liam coming into his own as a fisherman. An event you'll both remmeber for a lifetime.

Now there will be a long time of both of you holding your own . Then inevitably the time will come when Liam has to start grabbing the leader for his dad , then maybe casting the heavy stuff out for him , etc. :)

Offshore24 08-19-2010 02:06 PM

Great job guys.

Zeno 08-19-2010 02:44 PM

Congrats Liam...welcome to a lifetime of insomnia

Nice work John and Liam ... keep it going and enjoy every second of it. Congrats.

TheBetterHalf 08-19-2010 08:50 PM

I don't know if I am more proud or resigned to the fact that it does seem to be a heriditary trait - this fishing bug. It looks like the fishing season has affected another generation.......

MAKAI 08-19-2010 09:00 PM

Start taking lessons from your son
