tlapinski 01-12-2011 09:08 AM

Easy 18"+ here in Hartford area of CT and still falling like mad. Dug a path to my Taco, hopped in and drove to work. Of the 150+ employees, 4 of us made it in and I had to dig out one from the snow bank out front of the office. :smash:

Pete, good luck if your wife pops today!

blondterror 01-12-2011 09:26 AM

Just finished round 1 with my Huskyvarna .... about 16-18 of light stuff... easy to throw.... still coming down hard

Salty 01-12-2011 09:32 AM

NO SCHOOL FOSTER GLOESTER.

Saltheart 01-12-2011 10:09 AM

Deep , wet and heavy here. Big pile at end of driveway from plow. Oh well , its not like it hasn't happened before.

It would be nice to go a couple of weeks without any new snow though. This every few days stuff gets old fast.

UserRemoved1 01-12-2011 11:45 AM

8 and 9 shoveled at the shop. Van is up to the axles now.

striperman36 01-12-2011 01:39 PM

9 inches here, 5 foot pile at the road.

Wet snow.

Saltheart 01-12-2011 02:24 PM

Brushed the cars off and about 2 hours later there was another inch or two. It just looks like insignificant flurries now but its still adding up. The stuff i brushed off the car is so high i may have to shovel near the door to get it open. Blazer is much higher off the ground so not a problem.

UserRemoved1 01-12-2011 02:26 PM

This is without question the biggest storm I have seen in the last 10 years. I've NEVER had 5-6' snowbanks in front of my house.

UserRemoved1 01-12-2011 02:26 PM

must be global warming

Rob Rockcrawler 01-12-2011 04:30 PM

I have 19-20 so far, still coming down a bit. Awesome neighbor did my driveway 3 times while i was at work. They will be getting a gift card from a local restaurant for this one.

JackK 01-12-2011 04:34 PM

Not too much in Gloucester... 8" or so... But blowing like a SOB. Wet, gross snow too.

slow eddie 01-12-2011 05:20 PM

kind of hate to tell you guys this. about an inch here at pt. jude.
bad news is there are no fish.

Saltheart 01-12-2011 05:20 PM

Just brushed another solid 3 off the cars again. This is definitely not just blowing snow. This is new snow. That's 5 more since it "stopped" this morning. Its really hard to tell a total because the wetter earlier snow is collapsing and the new snow is very fluffy powder. Could be as much as 20 total between last night and today. Wall at end of dribeway is now at least 4 feet. I hope the plow guy gets here before it really gets solid!

I hate snow! :wall:

striperman36 01-12-2011 05:48 PM

the low stalled in the gulf of Maine. should be getting a few more inches
tonight

Where's BigFish to complain about this.

1 degree Celsius sea surface temperature anomalies gives 10 to 15 percent increase in rainfall thus larger snow banks

Hard to tell here.14 to 20 they say. Had to shovel into the shop to get snow blower.Got a drift outback must be closr to 8 ft. Almost hit the bottom of the deck. The kid in me wanted to jump into it. The fat guy figured not a good thing to do. I'd still be there come spring. LOL

Raven 01-13-2011 06:29 AM

Raven 01-14-2011 08:04 PM

pullen the snow off the hoop house by hand
after giving it the ole push and shove from the inside
