Heal up quick George. And if you don't mind can i use your rod zeebaas and nice home built surbag with plugs included. Also a map of your honey holes.:devil2:

Get well and heal right. What drag it is getting old...
My BIL injured his achilles as well, just standing in the surf and a coconut hit him just right. He claims that it was an attack by a rare coconut shark...Rest up , don't push it.

On a more positive note I,ll bet George knows who the --gentle-- P.T.'S are.
No screaming in the PT room George. I did and frightened the rest of the patients.
They stuck me in a small private room with Wanda the wrestler. She tied a palomar knot with my legs

Adam_777 08-18-2011 05:42 PM

Hope it heals fast for you.I've heard the pain from that is pretty high up on the list.

ProfessorM 08-18-2011 05:44 PM

almost as much pain as being outfished by Alan he has told me .

numbskull 08-18-2011 06:07 PM

Ugh! Somewhere Flap is laughing. Remember his toe fracture?
Alas, when you are stupid life sometimes bites you in the ass, and all you can do is turn the other cheek.

It wasn't soccer, it was a Western PA family reunion volleyball game and like any good father I was teaching those disrespectful worthless 20-something sons of mine a lesson in trash talking. Probably I was describing my magnificence when it happened. At least now they'll feel guilty for.......10-15 minutes maybe (the scum finished the game without me).

Still, if you're going to get hurt, playing one last time with your kids is the way to do it.

Sounds like a trip to the OR, a month in a cast, 2 months in a boot, then 4 months of rehab.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Slipknot 08-18-2011 06:30 PM

Yep I remember Flaps' broke toe, It was one of the first things I thought of when I read Alan's post.

On a good note, I have some wall cabinets for you if you still want some??? let me know. I guess you will be on the disabled list for a while :(

Well, then, I'll turn most of them loose so you can get 'em on the way back up next spring. ;)

George-Numby: It would be especially ironic for the Flap to see you rehabilitating-- on the Fish Pier, in your wheelchair, at the Canal. I'll be glad to drive you there and prop you up. We all know how much you just LOVE to hate the Canal......

Orthopedist Instructions: "NON WEIGHT BEARING"

Interpretation: That doesn't necessarily mean "Non Fishing".

Slipknot 09-01-2011 05:18 PM

exactly....

now imagine: you can Bear weight in the morning (most mornings)
but you cannot always bear weight by the afternoon.... :bc:

of course, weighing as much as a Bear doesn't help either :grins:
Unfortunately pride makes me not a shameless boat whore....

but George with a cast (read anchor)
on that leg you SHOULD
have a PFD >>ON<< brother. :uhuh:
