My question is........why is it always spelled temblor in the newspapers?

I am in NYC today and it was pretty weird to feel and see buildings be evactuated etc. Agree with the queeziness thing. Everyone I talked to here kind of said the same thing. They all thought it was something wrong with them until they looked around.
