Just a heads up............They are not gonna be getting much in the way of Salmon this year, maybe a dozen fish. Might be worth thinking bout a different place.

Too late. I already booked my non-refundable hotel in Gardner and designed a shirt.

Guess we'll just have to drink instead.

I, for one, am being much more serious this year. I have made two types of homemade flavored spirits.

I'd like to go but the winter seems to be on hold.....Maybe have it at a later date?If not better pack the shorts, sun block and sand spikes:fishin:.

Have faith! I remember one of the years we were scared about Sturbridge. One of the reasons that we picked the location is that it is one of the first to freeze ponds in MA.

We'll be there. Kind of place where you can get not a flag all day and just when youre going to leave you get a 20lb Salmon on the line. Deep clean water. Some nice sized perch as well as some good sized bass but limited catches. This place gets a lot of pressure so if it is only 12 Salmon they will get caught pretty quick.

Im in. Always a good time to be had.

We are 5 weeks away ladies. Plenty of time for water to freeze.

I think with the long nights, we should be fine with no more 40's after next week. I can still remember driving past Long Pond on the way to Naked Xmas with no ice there on the 24th, and we had plenty of ice by the tourney.

Getting up over 50 yesterday sure isn't helping for the ice over.

Just talked to Doctor's of Da Bait, which is the tackle shop across the street from the pond... He will be open and stocked with shiners at 5 AM on the 14th for anybody who needs anything.

I'm thinking that we may spend more time at the motel, as last year the afterparty got a little, como say llama, "festive."
