Ok, we're starting to get a little better. I think if we can get the following:
Soda
Paper plates
Couple more apps and desserts

I think we will be where we need to be.

Thanks,
Los Bombas

Saltheart 03-16-2012 04:40 AM

I will be bringing a large entree. Maybe a roasted turkey cut up into large chunks , simmered in gravy. I call it Hot Turkey delite.

Cohenfishin 03-19-2012 07:49 AM

Ahhhh,
There are usually quite a few people. Just bring what your comfortable with bringing.
I'm sure they will go fast, no matter how many you bring!
Thanks,
Rick

RickBomba 03-20-2012 05:42 PM

I say people will be hungry for mains...stay with the hot turkey!

BTW, has anybody booked a room yet?

FLY-FAST 03-21-2012 12:37 AM

This may be a dumb question, but, do people go fishinig on the TFCTFN?

RickBomba 03-21-2012 04:37 AM

UHHHH,
That sucks Mike. I will miss you, too. Let me know if you need anything.
Rick

JackK 03-26-2012 01:01 PM

Rick,
Are there ovens available? Can I just layer my lasagna the day before, then cook it at TFCTFN?

piemma 03-26-2012 01:12 PM

I think there are Jack but we usually start eating right after everyone get there (7 or so) I don't think it'll get done in time. Ricky will know for sure.

Rappin Mikey 03-26-2012 01:12 PM

Jack. Yes there are ovens available. You bring in the goods, and we'll warm them up.

piemma 03-26-2012 01:17 PM

Mikey, I think he wants to COOK the lasagna. Might take an hour or more. No?

RickBomba 03-26-2012 03:21 PM

Yeah,
Kevin, you should cook at home, then bring it to us to reheat.
Thanks,
Rick

Piscator 03-26-2012 09:58 PM

I'll plan to bring a calzone or two.

jredfly 03-27-2012 06:29 AM

Hi Rick - I said I would bring some american chop suey too but I will change that to a lasagna because it looks like there is only one coming and it usually goes fast. Thanks :uhuh:

JackK 03-27-2012 09:16 AM

Sounds good. I'll come a little early so it can get in the oven to warm.

Got Stripers 03-27-2012 11:09 AM

I had promised a big garden salad, but business is taking me to the west coast, sorry I'm going to miss out.

Boss, I was bringing your depth finder, will hook up in the spring for some fishing and pass it to you.

JohnR 03-27-2012 12:16 PM

OK - have fun out west - thanks!

John

Matt D 03-27-2012 05:45 PM

If I make it what's left that you need the most? I'm doing the CT Leadfest in Ansonia. Got a weekend pass from the boss but I'm not sure I'm up for the drive from there to Fairhaven. Would definitely need to grab a room for the night if I did.

Necker1 03-27-2012 06:24 PM

Hi Rick
I can bring a seafood chowder, but can I reserve a burner to re-heat it on? Also, what time would you want it there to be ready at 7pm, given the limited space on the stove?
Charlie

nightfighter 03-27-2012 06:58 PM

Ham and cheese/sausage and cheese crescent roll pinwheels for appetizers. Sodas

Baah, Necker, we'll make sure that there's room...someway somehow. Burners are very hard to come by. I can always get inventive with heat and the steam tables (I bring like 20 chafing dishes).

I'd say 6:15...them VFW guys get pissed when we show up before 6.

I'd say bring some desserts.

RickBomba 03-29-2012 04:42 AM

And, if anybody is thinking of bringing anything else, garden salad would round things out nicely.

Just found out that my truck is now the permanent Bomba family mobile, so I can't bring it to the party (the jeep won't fit too much stuff).

If anybody could bring a cooler for the drinks that would be great.
Thanks,
Rick

It's looking like I have to work tonight/into tomorrow. Not sure when I'll be getting in, may be very late on Saturday. There may be one less lasagna on the table, thankfully jredfly is bringing another.

jredfly 03-30-2012 10:36 PM

I hope you can still make it but I will have a lasagna there - no worries. :)

Kevin's like this cook that used to work for me named Chauncy. He'd call to say he'd be late, and then show up early. I'm pretty sure he'll be there.
