I updated the who's bringing what post. How are we cooking? Anyone bring a grill, gas or charcoal? I may be able to get a tire ring and grate to load with charcoal.

i have the little weber charcoal grill i can bring again. not sure what kinda meat yet

next weekend :). we are gonna head down there around lunchtime. where should we et up shop? by the rocks at the entrance or further down the beach. i'll bring some wood for a fire but I think we'll need more if anyone has some

mid day it might be an issue but hopefully as the day goes on people will leave the beach and it will not be an issue for those arriving a little later. it looks like there is a tiny overflow lot on the left as you drive down south shore road but I don't know of any alternate parking as I don't know the area well. lets hope for good weather and no parking issues

As far as weather, the're are showing sunny skies and little chance of rain, so people are likely to stay a little longer on the beach. Never been there, so hopefully it won't be an issue.

I can bring wood and a gas grill, but won't be getting there until 5:00ish.

i'll bring some hot dogs (saugys) and buns, condiments, and a cooler of assorted kid & adult beverages...

No issue by 3:00. Not sure what time they stop charging for entry.

Have they ever charged? I can't remember ever paying to go there

Was really looking forward to this, enjoyed the heck out of last falls meet. great food and even better hospitality. Grand sons little league finals all afternoon. Pitched last night and got the game ball! :uhuh:
I did mention last fall that I had a ton of charcoal I'd bring along for the next meet up,,,, I have 3x18 and 1x10 lb. bags I'd like to get there if you use them for the get together. Anyone from the Cape cod heading that way I'll pass them off or willing to meet anyone at the canal or a little further just about anytime.

As always it's going to be a great turn out,with the added bonus of new guys and even the elusive Spence...
As I told Newport mafia a couple of weeks ago I will be unable to make it for the spring run,The weather out on the Cape will be fantastic this weekend plus with a 4X4 pass out on the beach I can't pass this up.
I wish you all the best,Me and my crew will see you all this fall.(maybe deep fry a turkey)?

Watch for Dominic cause he's gonna school you all in fishing.

One of these days gotta meet up Buddy,either way I hope you had a good weekend, we lucked out on the beach no feesh but plenty of laughs, smores kite flying I tied it on my convech rod the thing was out about 1, 300 ft out:biglaugh:
Anyways hope you all have some stories from tonight. I'm sure Dominic kicked arse as always.

So, another great time was had by all who were able to make it! Not very fishy this year but the food was killer, weather was great and the kids had a blast.

I heard something about a tummy ache de-railed the Taco Stand from heaven. Everyone was bummed but we feasted on authentic Prochetta, steak tip subs, chorizo onions an peppers, dogs, burgers and somores with baseball sized marshmallows.

I was too busy stuffing my face and didn't get a chance to take any pics but I'm sure others will put some up.

Let's pick a date for the fall and do it again, maybe the fish will show this time.

Only took a few, but here they are. Great day, with awesome weather, great food, and good company! Really enjoyed meeting you guys, and kids talked about their new friends all the way home! Wish the fish showed up to give us a little action, but the day was a lot of fun. Looking forward to these fish tacos I keep hearing about, but steak tips and chorizo and peppers were to die for!! My daughter Jordan said on the ride home, just before drifting off to sleep, " I love my new SB friends!" ... :love:. Us too! Thanks for a great day everyone, cant wait for the next one!!
