Save his butt or pull the veil
Off of the NFL's BS case on what was truly a non issue fabricated by butt hurt Former jets employees? And ego hurt HC of the Ravens.

As the truth comes out via a truly independent arbitrator the NFL is looking ridiculous

I think it was more of an 'eff you courtesy of your union lawyers. If they believed there was no evidence of any wrong doing they're not destroying any evidence and I'm sure there would be PLENTY of embarrassing personal stuff for the League to selectively leak.

DZ 08-13-2015 08:03 AM

It was good to see Judge Berman completely discounted any texts that did not revolve around the "game in question". I think the NFLs case was that deflating footballs was an ongoing conspiracy by Brady in previous games. They can't use that argument anymore. I'm still thinking a monetary fine is the compromise in exchange for complete NFL statement of exoneration for Brady. Both sides get "something" and everyone should be happy.

The NFL has shown such discretion in regards to this matter. I can't imagine him not trusting them with personal info. (Sarcasm for those that are slow waking up this morning)

If they exonerate Brady then there should be zero fine.....you can't fine somebody who has been found not guilty.

and they got there pound of flesh in the form of a $1,000,000 fine and 2 draft picks from the Pats Organization.

Goodell could have avoided this whole friggin fiasco if he put his ego aside and just hit the Pats with a small fine in the beginning.....say.....$25,000 like its supposed to be.

I would guess this now has more to do with collective bargaining arbitration process than PSI.
May set a precedent for other labor unions CBA'S down the road.

After more than seven months, several millions of dollars and big talking from the league and commissioner Roger Goodell in the deflate-gate controversy, the first time someone independent looked at the case against Tom Brady it was thrown out.

MAKAI 09-03-2015 01:53 PM

What a colossal waste of court time.

I never had any doubt
the NFL has no clue how to police their league

Raven 09-04-2015 02:12 PM

i like to think of it as the People's League
NFL just makes up rules

Mako, I also read that the penalty for Brady was nullified. But if you think he knew nothing of the deflation then I am guessing you also believed OJ was innocent because of his verdict. One thing almost all legal analysts agree on is TB actually did have a general idea that the balls were tampered with. In the case of deflation vs the Colts the evidence was not enough to warrent a 4 game suspension due to contractual language. I am thrilled regardless.

The only fail here is on the leagues shoulders, no one elses, no ones.

Had everyone not huffed that FAKE report that 11 of 12 balls were 2 lbs under I wonder how biases may have formed differently.

You and I are "generally aware" that people exceed the speed limit on the MA pike, should we be fined for it?

Sea Dangles 09-05-2015 04:35 PM

That is too hard to debate
Kudos
