For anyone (except Redlite) that wants breakfast our clubhouse has a kitchen and I believe Nikki will be there. She makes a mean breakfast sandwich.

I'll be out at the pits setting up by 8:30. First shots can't be until 10 but we'll have some fun.

I didn't get any pictures of the pits out back. I have some videos I'll work on later. For anyone not on FB here's a few from the rifle range. For those that didnt come- after we spent 6 hours in the action shooting pits, we cleaned up and went to the rifle range. Where we proceeded to spend the next two hours blasting away with each others long guns.
I've got to say I shoot a lot, and drive all over the damn place to shoot a match but yesterday was great fun. Shooting action pistol is a different experience. I know Mike and Bruce had experience but I'm always happy to run new shooters through courses. It's much better than standing there making holes in paper.

Any SB member that is interested in trying it out just send me a PM.

Slipknot 05-08-2017 10:00 AM

I took one picture at the pistol pits with your camera, then saw the gopro

we need to do that again :wavey::happy:

I'm surprised there is no steel to shoot at on your rifle range

tysdad115 05-08-2017 10:20 AM

We used to have a steel gong at 200 yds. It got removed because people kept using steel core (XM855) and it ruined it, plus there was a possibility of a round deflecting off it and skipping over the berm which we obviously don't want to happen.

Sorry I missed this event. I recently got my ltc and joined the Ames rifle and pistol here in Easton. Hitting a piece of paper at 20' is harder than I thought. I really enjoy it and seem to need a bigger safe already as I am impulsive. All set on handguns for now but those need some friends with longer barrels.

Anytime you want to try it out just let me know, I'm always happy to meet up and let anyone shoot what I own.

tysdad115 05-14-2017 01:17 PM

Finally got around to getting the videos. Somehow I'm missing a bunch from stage 5 , I have no idea what happened to them. The files weren't even showing on my memory card. I think someone was trying to use the camera and don't know what happened to them all...but here's the few from the steel stage. Billy,Bossman and Mike trying the Texas star for their first time. I'm bummed all the other ones are gone but oh well..we'll just have to have another shoot!

And Billy's next attempt.

Passes out (gun) crack samples and sets hooks into another victim ;)

afterhours 05-16-2017 07:07 PM

that looks like the most fun one can have standing up. if there's another - in for sure will even buy low cap mags for commie state.

tysdad115 05-16-2017 10:59 PM

We'll try for fall. I built a mini stage that had movement, shooting through a window ,steel and shooting from various cover. Those videos are gone, but I'd say that was where we spent the longest time and had the most fun.
