Rep. Jackie Speier Lays Blame For Iran Passenger Jet Downing On Donald Trump Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) on Thursday suggested President Donald Trump was in part to blame for Iran’s suspected mistaken downing of a Ukraine International Airlines passenger plane during hostilities with the U.S. Speier, who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer she’d been briefed on the crash, which killed all 176 aboard, but was “not at liberty to say” whether Iran mistakenly believed the aircraft was a U.S. military plane. The Boeing jet crashed soon after taking off from Tehran’s airport. “If what is being projected is true, this is yet another example of collateral damage from the actions that have been taken in a provocative way by the president of the United States(That's Trump, in case you missed it),” Speier (see the big "D" next to her name, that means democrat) said. She also lambasted Trump’s “continued saber-rattling,” called for the situation with Iran to be “de-escalated” and for Trump to return to the negotiating table. Tensions flared last week following the U.S. assassination of top Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani. Iran responded with missile strikes on two Iraqi bases housing U.S. soldiers. No casualties were reported. Hours later, the passenger jet crashed. U.S., Canadian and British officials say they have intelligence that Iranian missiles, probably fired by mistake, brought down the airliner. “Iran has been a bad actor. Soleimani was a bad actor,” Speier acknowledged. “But there are many people in that region and around the world who are bad actors,” she said. “We have to find a way to live together and attempt to move towards peace.” |
That’s not laying direct blame, it’s an observation that without Trump’s significant escalation the wheels wouldn’t have been in motion. It in no way exonerates Iran.

every time I think the leftists have reached peak stupid...they soar to new heights
|
spence, what about the Wright Brothers, they're the ones who invented the airplane, are you and your fellow snowflakes going to let them off the hook?
Maybe they were democrats, because if they were republicans, you’d be throwing them under the bus too. You’re humiliating yourself and getting bitch slapped even by TDF, one of the most easygoing and non partisan people here. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

no one has ever tried that before with these people?! We did move towards peace. You can’t achieve peace when terrorists and mass murderers are roaming free, can you? I also see there are Iranians in the streets, protesting the incompetence of leadership for shooting down the jet. Another political victory. May God be with those poor people. happen, exactly, if you conceded that democrats have been a wee bit quick to blame Trump for some things? What exactly, are you afraid would happen if you did that? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
At this point I can’t help but feel bad for poor Jeff. I am sure he means well but it is obvious that the saber rattling has impacted his life negatively. He will never accept blame because that is simply how he was raised. It is good to be stubborn and stick to your guns when you are right. Unfortunately,he gets proven wrong consistently and simply can’t come to terms with his failings. Let’s hope he raises his children to be honest so this cycle can broken.

here Spence, I’ll show you, I’ll start off...
I think it’s wrong for people on the right to say that Iran bought the missiles it fired at us, with the cash Obama sent them. We don’t know that’s true, and shouldn’t be saying so to score cheap political points. There. I said it. Nothing bad happened to me! My side isn’t right every single time, and i have news for you, neither is yours. And that’s ok. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

In the end though, you’re still Wrong, not right, mistaken, incorrect, inaccurate, misguided, or whatever other word you’d like to insert that means wrong. You’re sitting in the back seat of the short bus on your way to common sense school. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
TDF, next he’ll tell you that you took that story out of
context. Because not only was the democratic congresswoman from California correct, but she was brilliant. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Or the classic “it’s not what she said, it’s what she didn’t say” :hihi:

State Department security officials weren't notified of 'imminent' threats to US embassies
republicans were outraged over bengiza being blamed on a movie , and held that even after the administration's dismissed that reason as incorrect Yet now Republicans have no issue with the changing narrative coming out of the White House And have no issues with these comments “I think the president is making clear that the Democrats have been parroting Iranian talking points and almost taking the side of terrorists and those who were out to kill the Americans,” Stephanie Grisham said on Fox News. “I think the President was making the point that the Democrats seem to hate him so much that they’re willing to be on the side of countries and leadership of countries who want to kill Americans. Grisham has yet to hold a single briefing since taking the role of President Donald Trump's chief spokeswoman in July, deciding instead to participate in interviews with friendly conservative television outlets like Fox News and One America News Network And anyone who thinks this is acceptable is a sell out and is all in with Trump 1st country 2nd mentality |
Grisham - another POS in this administration. Sounds like Collins.
Is there anyone in this admin. with any decency? |
Trump was beaming last night before the national championship game. He seems to have had a solid approval rating from all in attendance. I hope he doesn’t get too carried away with the camera time.

Isn't it pretty sad when the whole Administration can't be defended and individuals need to be pointed out.

you didn’t ask about individuals. “Is there anyone in this admin with any decency?” You want more? How about Pence? Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Pence lied and said Iran had a part in 9/11. He also said Congress couldn't be told about certain things related to the assassination because it would compromise sources as if Congress can't be trusted. This Administration is at Dispicable as they come.

inconsolable whining is not interesting commentary...... "Iran “facilitated” the movement of al Qaeda terrorists through its country, including September 11, 2001 attackers and for years was a critical channel for money and arms, according to the 9-11 commission report and internal Osama bin Laden documents. Experts say the late Qassem Soleimani surely knew of and directed the terror partnership since he has headed since 1998 Iran’s Quds Force. It is a U.S.-designated terrorist organization and an arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps which dominates Iranian society. On Jan. 3, Maj. Gen. Soleimani was killed in Baghdad by a U.S. drone missile attack on his car on orders of President Trump. “There is strong evidence that Iran facilitated the transit of al Qaeda members into and out of Afghanistan before 9/11, and that some of these were future 9/11 hijackers,” said the commission, known formally as The National Commission on Terror Attacks Upon the United States." |

AP headline - “Iranian General Killed i’m US Strike, Then Innocents Suffer.” that was the associated press’ headline. I completely agree that his opponents hate him so much, that they’re willing to side with anyone who opposes him or can make him look bad. That’s obviously true. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

I am surprised. You would support attacking other Americans as un American for not bending the knee to Trump .. from his press secretary. You do understand if it's from her it's from Trump... calling anyone we who disagrees with him that they love the enemy and are traitors what's next making people disappear or arrested? Is that when it will have gone to far Sorry doesn't get any more un American than openly supporting such a statement.. From the POTUS Yet Clinton's use of the word deplorables still bugs you , Man over party and party over country |
Is disagreeing with somebody now called attacking somebody?

know enough, to be FAIR. Fair means using honest criticism when he deserves it, and guess what, praising him when he deserves it. The democrats and the media can’t bring themselves to do it. neither can the liberals here. Anyway, what would it take, for you to be honest enough to say i expect accurate fairness, not blind support? I don’t expect everyone to be sean hannity. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
