not my cup of tea . but a lot of guys use wire with this setup …..I don,t remember ever getting gut hooked ……..even casting :wid:

I still have a couple wire set ups,,,, they hit it like a freight train.... my arm still hurts... LOL

There's a spot off the South side of Bonnet where I'd pull wire in 40 to 60 feet of water. Tube and worm was killer.

Yeah, that’s why I’m going back to T and W this year. Tried lots of stuff in recent years; sluggos, plugs etc. Only had some luck with a blue and yellow 5 inch Yo Zuri in the Westport river last year. Back to T and W everywhere else.
