25th Amendment section 4..... Yep That Constitution is a pretty well done document.
Be it removal, censure, or impeachment, I think Congress could possibly unite, as would the Republican Party, to act now, and by holding Trump accountable and making sure he cannot reappear in a future election. His hours long rebuff of calling for the National Guard may be the final straw. I wish this all hadn't taken place. I would rather suffer the ridicule from any and all for naming a thread January 6, 2021, and having none of it come to bear. If nothing else, maybe these next days end up being the beginning of our Congress, working together, being able to govern for the people, for the people. |

“I am not an advocate for frequent changes in laws and constitutions, but laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors.” |

So many devastating possibilities aligning... The President demanding the VP to defy the Constitution so he can stay in power. Pence didn't defy the Constitution Many Republican members of Congress rallying around this otherwise lame duck President, who would be otherwise be leaving office in two weeks, to impede the succession of power. he'll be leaving in two weeks... succession of power not impeded Trump supporters rallying around the Capitol, some expected to be armed. yup... there was a rally Trump giving a speech in the morning and possibly joining his supporters. he gave a speech The leader of the Proud Boys arrested on weapons charges in DC and told to "stay away." not sure if this is a prediction or just stating fact again A threat over the air controller frequency said a plane was going to be flown into the Capitol tomorrow, likely while the Congress is assembled to read the votes from the electoral college. This to avenge the killing of Iranian General Soleimani exactly a year ago. didn't see any planes in all the footage Kenosha Wisconsin likely to see rioting after no charges were brought against a police officer in a shooting last August. if there were riots there, they didn't make the news.....there were riots in Portland though...shocker... And there is always the Georgia Senate elections today, with results possibly not being known until tomorrow. they are known Only the control of the Senate and a continuation of a checks and balance within Congress at stake. Any powder kegs I left out? Oh, maybe a stack of pardons to round out the afternoon? did he pardon anyone? I think that makes you 2 for 8 ...I didn't count the poor boys |

Pipe bombs and Molotov cocktails
Tweety has his private army now “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th,” Mr. Trump tweeted on Dec. 19, just one of several of his tweets promoting the day. “Be there, will be wild!” Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Statements from Parler Yes, Trump I will stand by you, I will swing from the gallows for treason with you if I have to Trump always, even if he starts killing thousands of Americans. I trust his judgement. I know they would deserve it. God made him. He can't be wrong. |
President Donald Trump spent Wednesday telling people he was happy that the Republicans David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler lost their Senate races in Georgia, the New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman reported.

MAGA people planned this openly on social media. They videoed themselves during the act. They showed their faces. They're being identified.
Update: Already THREE Republican state representatives have been identified, two from PA and one from WV. |

Like I said earlier, peaceful protest is our right, I don’t care what the cause is your exercising your freedom of speech in, criminal activity doesn’t know left from right only right and illegal. Those that looted and burned in BLM protests are criminals as are all that broke into the capital building and assaulted capital police and vandalized the building. In both examples, those crossing the line detract from the message the majority are trying to send, you then become a band of thugs.
I think there is a big difference between supporting a movement and inciting the riot, which is exactly what Trump, Jared and Rudy did, unless English isn’t your primary language. |

"It has bestowed the great gift of the moral high ground on the most undeserving people in the world: Joe Biden and the left. They now have a free pass to persecute their ideological enemies while enacting their pet cultural Marxist projects and changing this country irrevocably for the worst." Katie Pavlich, who apparently is a fox commentator, was asked what she thought "Most of that is true, but I disagree that they have a free pass." So she agrees that the most undeserving people in the world are Joe Biden and the left. She believes they will persecute "their ideological enemies" (which is greatly ironic given the current administration that she almost certainly supports). She agrees with making a parallel between Biden's agenda and Marxism. If 80% of nutters are getting their info from these sources or worse, it clearly explains where we are. We will never be a functioning society when this is the rhetoric that a substantial and powerful (see gerrymandering and electoral college) portion of the country hears and believes. |

Trumps personality was very insulting and polarizing. I totally get why democrats hated him, heck, I hate him as a person too. What democrats struggle to understand, is that Republicans don't like taking cheap elbows, either. Nobody has delivered more stupid insults than Trump. But democrat leadership has come close. They spent the last 4 years insisting that republicans are a bunch of racist, gay-bashing, sexist, xenophobic cave dwellers, vilifying the police, etc. Fine, they can say that. But again, don't then approach me with open arms and call for unity. It doesn't work that way. You can't have it both ways. Would have been nice if maybe Bush and Obama (who are friendly) could have a press conference together, remind us of whatever it is that we have left in common. There will be no unity under Biden (or Pelosi, Schumer, etc), his calls for unity are only slightly less absurd than Trump calls for unity. |
