My "anecdotal survey" (including a pharmacist and a doctor) seems to point at possible reaction to the second Moderna dose only. The doctor had a significant but short lived reaction the second Moderna dose.

On the political side, news lately is showing a lot of funded and volunteer outreach to "groups" that are less likely to get the vaccine. None of those "groups" being reached out to are "republicans". Only one "group" is being bashed by the media.

Just an observation. Let the fun begin.

If you go to lowellgeneralvaccine.com, you can get appointments for Saturday right now. We just got three.

Got Stripers 04-03-2021 06:20 AM

First Pfizer yesterday, zero issues for me, looking forward to getting my second to free up some more visitors coming over to help eat up the rest of the vacuumed sealed sea bass and tag to make room for this years bounty.

PaulS 04-03-2021 01:41 PM

Got my 2nd Moderna Tues. Arm sore, little headache and felt a little groggy for maybe 30 min? Drank extra water and it seemed to pass.

Just booked a trip for Oct to see the Northern lights in Iceland :)

MAKAI 04-03-2021 04:42 PM

Iceland is a bucket list trip for me.
Not eating the local fermented shark and sheep guts though.

PaulS 04-03-2021 08:22 PM

If you look on Icelandic Air there are some amazing deals right now flights including hotels.

Checked out flight cost to San Diego 2_3 weeks ago for the end of this month,,, was less than $300,,,, now it’s over five.... WTF

Couldn’t pull the trigger not knowing covid shot schedule...

fishgolf 04-05-2021 07:10 PM

Wife and I flying to Az next week. Got 2 round trip 1st class tickets for less then the price of one from the last time we went a couple years ago. Good deal. Can't wait to go next week! Got them in early Feb.

JohnR 04-06-2021 06:39 AM

Rentals are tough these days. Had to go to AZ a month ago and a Ford Fiesta was $115 per day, the Mustang was $130, so went for the latter.

Taxes were insane.

fishgolf 04-06-2021 05:59 PM

I saw that. We were going to rent a 4 door Jeep Wrangler, but it was $1650. We got a Tahoe for $800 instead. Not bad for 10 days (relatively speaking).

Gobi 04-10-2021 05:23 PM

Got J&J last week. I think hammer hands touched bone with the dang needle, but other than a sore shoulder, I'm happy to report no problems! If this is what it takes to get rid of the GD masks, I'm all in.

I don’t think the masks are going away for a long long time. Even after all are vaccinated.

I had to take a nap every afternoon for 3 days after I got the j&J shot. It wiped me out.

Sure it wasn’t the IPA’s?

Nope. It was the 5G chip in the vaccine

The jab was almost painless. The feeling lousy for 3 days wasn't.

nightfighter 04-11-2021 09:08 AM

Second Pfizer yesterday. Sore arm, but not as sore as first, and no headache, yet.... Taking Dani for her first today.

So I am fully vaccinated and at least a month earlier than I had expected to be, back in January when they first began. Here's to having more of the "herd immunity" in place by the time schools and colleges are ready to resume in late summer. Getting kids back into schools is the only way we are going to see the economy back in full gear.

Got Stripers 04-11-2021 12:05 PM

Thankful we got the pfizer no issues on the first, second coming up the 23rd.

Gobi 04-11-2021 01:42 PM

I guess everyone reacts differently and it appears that I was lucky. Looks like my body didn't mind the 5G chip. :buds:

Jeez, I hope you're wrong. I really want to get to a place where we're not wearing masks at work.

Wonder what would happen if work said that vaccinated employees didn't have to wear masks? What would other employees think? I figure the State (RI) would have a problem with it...

Anyone not having to wear a mask at work if you work inside with other people?

I've gone the longest period of time in my adult life without catching a cold. It's almost like, the steps you take to avoid covid are effective against other viruses, too. ;)

Gobi 04-11-2021 05:23 PM

Haha. Yep, I agree, however might that be that almost everyone that's sick stays home and therefore doesn't infect others? Masks are porous and don't stop viruses, right? Not that I'm a virologist or slept at a Holiday Inn last night... just an opinion. ;)

ProfessorM 04-11-2021 05:52 PM

Wife got JJ last week and felt horrible for 36 Hours. My 20 year old Daughter got both Moderna’s and felt horrible for 2 days but had already had Covid so that may be reason. I’m getting 2nd Pfizer next Sunday.
I have worked a normal 40 hour week the whole time with 23 guys and no one has worn a mask. I did have to quarantine when my daughter home from college got covid but other than that I am surprised we have been very lucky at work.
