I can’t post pics from my phone either. Sorry guys, you don’t get a chance to see the 20” schoolie I caught tonight.

When I do post pictures , I transfer from phone, to comp6, resize, then use g Microsoft photo editor, rotate them , it's the only way I can get them to.pist correctly.

The problem with that is, without it, politics will spill out over the whole sire, especially the Main Forum. It's inevitable. It's why a separate forum was needed to begin with. Even so, some of it still sneaks out. Sometimes the best thing to do is ignore it, unless it ignites a brawl.

The problem is that when there was meet ups you met others and there was a level of friendship. Now, people don't meet each other and there is no reason to be polite to others.

Hey, I like Gjetost, and thanks to Thor Bjørklund we can cut thin slices.

ProfessorM 11-04-2021 08:44 AM

John is there a way to post a picture from your phone right onto the site? Not download to a computer then to the site. I don’t see a way to do that. Like it’s not an option to post one. 🤷
All is see for phone is quick reply

The solution is to make the political forum password protected.

Leipäjuusto? That's actually more like a dessert, that you eat with a spoon with coffee. And then there's mämmi.

Fishing report

Great trip to the Block. We have caught everyday. No pictures a we are not killing anything. We've had to move around but if you put you time in, you can find decent fish.
Best fishing on the Block I have seen, in November, in 15 or more years.

Having a blast fishing with DZ and Bob Huddy

I agree about this Thread:
1. I want to see this site survive; therefore, I will try to add some of my fodder. This past month, however, I am doing and catching very little of any note, and therefore, no pictures. But I am still (freezing) out there and trying. And my usual accomplice, Numbskull, is not helping me.

2. The way I have posted pics in the past in both this site and the "other" site-- I have downloaded them from phone to computer first.
However, the "other" site is easier to produce success it seems. This site requires me to "resize" my pics to add as an Attachment which is beyond my 8 decade of life technical abilities. The "other" site never asks me resize my pics.

That's awesome. I'm thinking of how many November trips to Block Island I did and most were a bust. A 15 under the lighthouse when I nearly died in Nebe's friends house and the 70 Oakley dropped in the wash at SW point.

**I'm jealous. I just knew somebody, somewhere, was catching something while I was freezing my A-- off on my turf.

That Huddy guy doesn't miss a fishing trip opportunity, does he?:lasso:

Yeah, it’s better kept compartmentalized. Keeps things
more polite on the main forum.

I just got to this thread...
Seems like this has been made way more complicated than it has to be...

The way I see it:
*come on the site, talk about fishing related stuff
*if you feel like talking politics, go to that thread.

I mean G-damn, is there something I missed!? because it really seems that simple to me.

Sea of Atlas 11-04-2021 09:50 PM

The way I see it is if you can’t shut up about politics then your wasting time you could be fishing. I go out fishing to reconnect with something that transcends politics. If you’re that bored to go on thousands of posts about politics you missed the bite or you’ve lost the edge.

Bob is a great guy to fish with Ross.
The Block really tested me physically. DZ and Bob were always there making sure I didn't end up killing myself.:btu:

Glad you got some fish Paulie.
Just can't swing weeknights during the semester, otherwise I would have joined you...

Understood Bry. We'll figure out something for next year. We gotta have Spence along so you and ditch his new PB.

bart 11-07-2021 06:14 PM

I’d been eyeing this past week since March, but the closer it got, the less I thought I’d be able to fish it. But I did, and those two nights alone made up for the lack of size the last 2 seasons combined.

Needed that big time.

Geez last time I was on BI was about 1993..
Too many islands, not enough time.

rphud 11-08-2021 07:10 AM

I am right there with ya! Might try some islands to the south this month. Sounds like there may be fishes there now and I suspect my old stomping grounds may fish well into December if not all the way into Spring.
