JohnR 09-27-2003 10:07 PM

Hey Tony :wavey:

That will be smack dab in the middle of my fall run :D - would've loved to go but I don't try for cod til after mid November - unless we try the Cod Trip that never was # 3

Canalratt1 09-28-2003 10:02 AM

BAD NEWS for me talked to the wife about the 25th and she reminded me we have to go to my daughters Fall Fest at her college!:af: Looks like I'm out but will answer any ? on tackle, rigs and spots for yah, if the day gets changed to another weekend day let me know would love to get out. John I'm still game for a trip but only if Slip and BM can make it!:D

mrmacey 09-28-2003 10:08 AM

why dont we just plan

a sb charter for mid november if we plan it now we might be able to get a boat on the day we want

missing link 09-28-2003 10:10 AM

eeeeee sounding badd as time goes on....

mrmacey 09-28-2003 10:18 AM

most people are

still striper fishing through october but I am willing to do this if the intrest keeps up!!

missing link 09-28-2003 10:24 AM

first plan sounded good 2 me ... out of plymouth, oct 25 :)

mrmacey 09-28-2003 10:27 AM

ok

but I know what there talking about when we leave plymouth we have to head north to the ledges anyway Let me talk to a guy from plymouth and see what he says I like plymouth too if we have each other to help launch!

missing link 09-28-2003 11:29 AM

me and my dad have dont it alone b4. All you do when its just me and my dad i go inside the boat while my dad backs the truck in he unhooks the boat i start it up and than he parks the truck, there is a little floating dock to the right of the ramp that i dock it at he walkes over and hops in the boat and BAM! where done :) I'm sure there will be pleanty of people to help eachother launch

bud8fan 09-28-2003 12:45 PM

1st idea!

I personally feel that Headboats are a crapshoot and alot of times a waste of time and $$
If you can get to the fish in your own boat and have the right tackle etc you'll do just fine.

GPS coordinants from Canalratt would be great providing one of the boats has a GPS onboard??

If we are all thinking positive about this we are gonna need big coolers full of ice! Thats gonna take up alot of room on these boats!.
Hey mike, can you picture your boat with a bunch of cod all over the deck??!!!!:laughs: Or better still in the cabin

:smash:

mrmacey 09-28-2003 01:01 PM

or better yet on

rope over the side!! or filet in the small cooler then split at end of day!!:smash: :smash: cod fishing is an up and down bounce or jig no casting so my boat can hold four two on the corners and two on the sides its about including some of the guys that never get out

missing link 09-28-2003 01:14 PM

coolers will deff take up our boat lol i have a gps but it's only a hand held... any one have a chartplotter that woulde really help us out :)... well since boat fish dont count y would anyone want to go???:smash: :smash: :laughs:

mrmacey 09-28-2003 01:15 PM

I still do it

by the stars Im no help!

missing link 09-28-2003 01:19 PM

so where are we going to run out too?? how far? what '' spot''

mrmacey 09-28-2003 01:21 PM

theres a spot off duxbury beach

that I know of but we got a month to figure this all out!

Notaro 09-28-2003 01:30 PM

hey guys, i was wondering if any of you have available space on your boat. i dont have any rod for cods, but a few of rigs for it. i could help you with gas money, cuban cigars, or whatever to split the costs or something like that... i will bring food and drinks for anyone on the boat. im trying to conserve money for a new apartment...

missing link 09-28-2003 01:37 PM

i put that pic up for mrmacey
:D

Notaro 09-28-2003 01:39 PM

oh, my bads, man.

bud8fan 09-28-2003 01:53 PM

hey mike

cant do the fillet idea as only charter boats have the right to clean and discard the remains at sea. You must be able to show that the fish is of legal size.

Maybe we should bring an extra boat just to put the fish on?:laughs:

Like you said mike we have plenty of time to figure it all out!

missing link 09-28-2003 01:58 PM

i know i'll be bringing 3 coolers.

Same thing here, man. CAL, if we hook up on the cape, I am pretty sure that we will catch Black sea bass on Bourne. My uncle's dock should be able to have them by now...

So what is the plan for this weekend? eeling or plugging? smelts are in back river... fried smelts for cold holidays sure keep you contented:)

CAL 09-28-2003 09:21 PM

Notaro, I'll probably be plugging, but I lost my favorite today. A Bassmaster danny, that thing swam pissa. Some boat owner on the Neponset is gonna be happy when he finds it stuck to his gunnel  . I almost worked up the courage to swim out and get it

Where you wanna go this weekend?
