ok I got 3 sorry.
check out this Boston guy's resume if you are unfamiliar with him. Quite the career. Berklee, Miles Davis, Blood Sweat and Tears, playing with a who's who of Jazz greats along the line and he can rock it too in this tune. Eddie you will like the drummer for sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyGc8Qx-8ac |
Most likely impossible to listen to any Pat tune too many times. Went way back to Yes this week.

Ended the week with Jaco Pastorius Big Band
I can never listen to this intro only once. Usually play through the track after the third or fourth time listening to the intro. One minute of just mind blowing stuff. This is Marcus, by the way, doing his Jaco thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeQQxLXzdY0 this is Jaco https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXOnhzoC-i8 |
2 of the best.
I've worn out that Jaco Big Band cd |
Still looking for that Japan double live big band LP, the never ending quest me thinks

I will be trying to get to the Ford show, but it is a little too far off right now to commit right now though.
Here's one you don't hear every day for you Feats fans. He's super... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rssb4oryzGw and a more well know tune with some well known folks singing along, from about a million years ago (Emmylou and Bonnie still look fine, just a bit of gray in the hair) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z-GwdaKrn8 |

Here is one for you Bob. Heard some of this on my way to Woods Hole this morning. Mike Stern is a beast.

Tell me this doesn't sound like a Metheny tune.
Here is a little nugget about his guitar. An early and important guitar for Stern was a hybrid 1950s/1960s Fender Telecaster, previously owned by Roy Buchanan and Danny Gatton, which was stolen from him in an armed robbery in Boston. This guitar is the basis for a custom-made guitar built by Boston-based luthier Michael Aronson, which has a Telecaster style body with an original 1950's Broadcaster neck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPluz_nulF8 |
