I just noticed you put up Mocha by Scott Henderson. That tune is great and the solo is so friggin good. I have had it on my I pod for a few years. The guy is really sick.

rphud 03-05-2015 08:37 AM

It's on one of the CDs you burned for me. Took me forever to track him down. For some reason none of the lyrics search engines could find "Mocha Mocha Mocha", or "I'll see you in heaven with your doggie bone". Got to get a copy of Tore Down House. Definitely a new fav. Not touring this year unfortunately.

Some international sound. been following this guy, Argentinian, for a few years since I heard him on WGBH as a Berklee student. Really like this sound, Tango. Great timing in this band, orchestra. I am rarely dissapointed when I see sheet music being used.

This is a great "setting" for Pat. Pretty much same as this last tour. Unfortunately no Redman with him on the tour.

Just picked this album up. Ha still call them albums. Piano has been my new love for last few years.

Hey Bob Pat just blows me away every time I listen no matter what style he is killing and the fact he chooses and surrounds himself with such fantastic musicians is further evidence that he has no equal in my book.

rphud 03-08-2015 11:48 AM

Funny, I was thinking of the interview Pat did where he says there is only one Jaco and nobody can do Jaco and it came to mind that the same is true for Pat. I think my head would explode if Pat toured with Redman and Christian McBride in this neck of the woods.

I was in early with this kid and touted his skills several years ago but I have kind of tired of his sound in the past year or so but that is probably just me. None the less he is talented.

The previous opinion was not meant to diminish the guy you like just curious if anyone else feels that way or I am off kilter with my remark. I don't usually put down artists as everyone likes what they like. I got a 14 year daughter who is an aspiring musician and I cringe at what she considers music. I try not to comment but sometimes I just can't help myself.

My wife has popsicle toes! You should start a Michael Franks thread. There is a whole lot to post up.

Joe B....I am actually way more into Scott Henderson these days, but I still like him

Heard this in the airport and it brought back memories of how different and great this was back in the day

Finished the session with that one, seemed like an appropriate one to end with. Always brings visions of Apocalypse Now to mind.

Not alot on youtube so I'm not linking, but
Penthouse Pauper by Creedence is my favorite song this week.

ProfessorM 04-10-2015 07:50 PM

on Pod today. I can see why Zappa liked this guy. Perfect fit. Magician with the guitar, such a unique sound and great front man. I can't wait for him to come around again.

Couldn't find any film from the '60s but I hope you guys like this. She's great when you need some cocktail jazz. Beautiful voice and lots of great lyrics. Blossom Dearie.

this album is great. This is my favorite rendition of All along the watchtower by far. Mason had some part in getting Hendrix to record it.

No one made it scream better than Mr. Moore. Very Santana-esque in this one. Good close-up fretboard work and one of the best guitar faces ever. Please support our troops! Have a great M Day!
