Congrats John.

Few hours shorter commute per day and some great fishing in the area might make up for a little less salary! I think there are about 800 spots along the newport coast so you shouldn't get board.

JHABS 01-14-2004 12:25 PM

Hey John R Now you can be a REGULAR at CODDINGTON BREW PUB.....BLUEBERRYS

Pete 01-14-2004 01:11 PM

That's great John! Tony and I feel your pain about that "what I used to make" part, but it's definatly better than unemployment.

We can hear you now(,Honey I'll be working late real late)

schoolie monster 01-14-2004 04:00 PM

John, that's really good to hear. Considering the $$ spent on commuting and the stress and time, that's gotta equal things out a bit.

I know that's a big weight off the shoulders.

Worry about a salary increase on the second day.

Congrats.

I'm just glad that means you'll have your boat ready by next season

Boat fish are way more fun than surf fish.

Crafty Angler 01-14-2004 05:35 PM

Boat fish don't count.

Congradulations John!!! :D I hope all goes well.

"uffah!!" 01-15-2004 11:17 PM

Congradulations John. I know how you feel. I lost my job in
1988 after being there 18 years. I didn't find something until
1994. Lost that one in 1996, and Luckly found another a couple
months later. Thank God I had enough time in to retire. I'm a
retired Teamster now, been that way for a couple years.
