Wow. That is an impressive collection of plugs. I need to save these pics and show them to my wife when she complains about my gear. :hee:
|
VB, is that a working fire place? Does it dry out the plugs faster? You know craking and chipping etc. I know the good stuff doesn't hang there. Nice stuff!!!!:D

Great collections. Hope the heck you guys have good sprinkler systems installed in those cellars. I would hate to have to run down there and grab all those plugs and hooks in a rush. :D P.M.

Early Needles by Gibbs and the Boone Needles available in the late seventies. 1st up Gibbs Large needles from late 70's ( actually these were not the first ones Gibbs made the 6.5 inch were, pics to follow) John Gibbs made all these. Needles I made for Block Island Thanksgiving Day trips in late 70's to 1983. The middle one was actually made on Island with supplies we brought because we knew we would run out of needlefish breaking off. I made a half dozen, this is the only one of those made on Island. I have not been back there since 1983. I hope to get back there some day.

The first Needlefish John Gibbs ever made were the 6.5 inch models. Here are some of the earliest I got from John. The Red Head is the first one I ever saw and he gave it to me from his first batch.
