42.7 Miles to the canal & 1/4 mile to walk, waking up & getting into the water 1hr.

two hours from Canal--two hours to East Beach, R.I.--Western Mass. isn't the most convenient place to live if you love the Cape like I do. The older I get, the fewer day trips to Balston, Head of the Meadow, Coast Gaurd and Nauset etc. I make. When I tell my neighbors I make danny plugs all winter they don't have a clue what the hell I'm talking about....

Walking distance to a few...
10-25 to a lot more. 45 will get me to Beavertail or the Canal. An hour+ to Watch Hill. It's pretty pathetic considering how much I actually get to fish. -spence |
5 minutes if I stop by Clammers house 1st.:biglaugh:
|
47 mi to the #1 ramp
|
2 hours from canal---two hours from R.I. beaches--5 minutes from Ct. River in western Mass.---too bad shad/herring run is done--caught some decent fish this spring to 36 lbs. in the river, but I'd rather be at Balston, Head of the Meadow etc...love the Cape

I'm a lucky boy...a little over a mile to the ramp then 5 to 15 minutes to "my" spots. :spin:
|
15 minutes to surf fishing!!!
10 minutes to the boat and 5 more to my fishing spots!!! |
Now as we can see, some of us live very close to the water, while the other half live a great distance away. I would now ask the folks that live close to the water to find jobs for us that have to travel.

15 seconds to surf casting. 12 to my boat. (and this is by bike!!!,)
|
1Hr. and 20 minutes to the Canal
Outer Cape 2hrs North shore 45-1hr. RI 1 1/2hrs. I just got a kayak, so hopefully, alot less driving this year. |
45 mins to 1.5 hour to cape cod. 10-20 mins to boston harbor. 2 hours to RI.
|
Right now any where from 20 minutes to 1 hr. However I'm moving to Gloucester in a month where I will only have to walk to the back of the yard!!!
