I'm confused now, was it 76 pounds or 56 pounds?

I guess maybe this thread strayed off course.

maybe Greg was just yanking us a bit

so, now we got people bragging about catching the same fish in two different states. that block island has some big fish.....

Wow has this rumor/story grown. Last week @ said fish house I am told by a worker of a nice catch of 17 fish, 3 over 50#, with a 42 # average. Now it's 30 fish 76# whopper. Fish stories. If that catch is real and from the Vineyard, fantastic catch of big fish doing what few/no others are doing right now. Can't wait to see who the angler(s) is. Team Striper is kickin ass. Art

Unless things pick up for our North Shore members, I'd say you guys are in a good position, period. ;)

Especially if you keep paying off those sharks to chop TOs fish when he's with you guys :laugha:

Yeah I'm still around, but you wouldn't see me weighing in any large. First I don't have a commercial license, I've never felt I wanted to contribute to the decline of the fishery. I keep my fair share of the small keepers for the grille throughout the season, but the larger breeders I release. The exception might be if it were state record size, that old girl probably isn't breeding and that's a fish I think everyone keeps.

I don't post much anymore, I don't have the free time I used to and what's the point; some things just don't ever change.

Hi Bob:wave:
I can coroborate however you spell that, that Bob does indeed release the breaders and he is alive, last time we fished he pulls up to a spot and bangs a 30 pounder first cast while I get bluefished :hs:
Thanks again for that trip Bob, I hope you had a good vacation fishing with your brother in law.
Let's go again sometime

The word "avarice" comes to mind.
