Bringing a dessert of some kind. And possibly a friend or my brother.
Looking forward to meeting you guys!!!

bud8fan 05-22-2003 07:35 PM

Live ones?

I was thinking about bringing some live ones in my portable livewell also but never thought about the fact that we will be in CT!
Whats the scoop??

tobias 05-23-2003 07:42 AM

Waterford and AdamR, thanks for attending. Now I have two guys to carry all my gear to my rock and the long walk back:D

thewaterfordstriper 05-24-2003 03:24 PM

what long walk. i thought we fished from the back of the pick-up with chunks, bells and glow-sticks. adam can you pick up the worms just in case i run out?

Adam R 05-24-2003 03:41 PM

Tobias, the only time I'll be carrying your gear is to stock my plugbag!:smash: (even though your plugs only catch twinkies, some are pretty!)
Waterford, It's my turn to buy the glow sticks, your turn to buy the bait! You have fuel for all of our laterns? :D

Hey all I dont have the 10 posts but if I can manage the day off is it cool to stop by?:D

TheSpecialist 05-26-2003 11:35 PM

sure , your fish might not count towards the 4 leg though. who cares it's about meeting new people and having fun.

Saltheart 05-26-2003 11:38 PM

Throwing timber , I checked back , you've been posting since april on a couple of forums , just get your tenth in before the weekend and you are in for everything.

ThrowingTimber 05-27-2003 09:40 AM

Sounds good to me now to get the day off?

pops02 05-27-2003 09:40 AM

can one partake in the other 3 legs of the tournament, if they dont make this one ?

JohnR 05-27-2003 10:33 AM

Pops - no prob. Any of the 4 counts just your odds go up if you hit more than less :)

Timber - yer in :D

Fisherwoman 05-27-2003 01:04 PM

BC & I can't make it, got tri-state tournament this weekend on cape, hopefully we can at least make it to one of them this year!!!

maine/rifisherman 05-28-2003 01:28 AM

I'll try to make it if i can it's kinda hard with my wife's car in the shop but if she gives the thumbs up i'd like to meet some people who like to fish as much as me and since i don't know too many people in ri maybe i'll make some friends to fish with. And please don't make fun of my cheap gear it's all i can afford:D
What can i bring?????????? anything needed? and hope to see you there

Raven 05-28-2003 03:15 AM

Raven's gonna go

got an errand to do in beantown --then my wife Becki and I will
be heading for the gathering at Don's. Thinking to bring Cookies.
Thankfully the end of the rain is in sight for Saturday.Yahoooo

Raven 05-28-2003 04:53 AM

weather forecast has changed

well now it appears there may be some showers....thats ok though, the fish like that type of day ...don't forget your rain gear !

NilsC 05-28-2003 10:22 AM

Are anyone of you fishing Friday nite, do you have room for another? I'm going down Fri after work and it would be nice to hook up and fish some. I'm close to Weekapaug but can meet anywhere (almost) in RI.

I'm really bummed I can't make it, but I've put off a yard sale twice now due to rainy weekends and I can't delay further. Unless we have a complete washout, I'm getting rid of 14 years of stuff we have collected. I hate yard sales, one big pain in the butt, which is why the stuff got collected in the first place I guess:(.

Raven 05-28-2003 07:05 PM

what if...........GS

you made it a tag sale instead....and then you give 10% of the profits to some resposible kids of family or friends to run it for you
which they simply love to do as much as selling lemonade.
If you need some descriptions/history for certain items print them.
__________________________________________________ __________________-->
when it comes to FISHING ,I say: the house work be damned
i HAVE to go fishing....it's my sanity! and that would apply to yard work and or yard sales too.Besides..its gonna be raining probably and its a well known fact that yard sale crowds are most enthusiastic when its sunny and dry. think AGAIN ->you will
be very muched MISSED otherwise! ....Just an alternate point of view.
Very quickly it will be 95 degrees and SOOO hot all you'll want to do some weekend is sit around and sell the "stuff" where as now
the fishing and the weather will be PERFECT!!! HMMMMM:confused: I THINK ITS AN EASY DECISION TO MAKE.:D

Sweetieface 05-29-2003 07:51 AM

I think Raven makes an excellent point....

GS, what if you do the yard sale thing in on Sat. morning, and then meet us down there in the late afternoon/evening for the cookout/festivities/fishing.

Hey, ya gotta eat, don't you??? Might as well be in CT with 20 or so of your closest SB friends and fish.....

Got Stripers 05-29-2003 09:16 AM

All depends, not only have to have the yard sale, but it's going to rain Sat. night, something new and different:(; so I've got to bring a large amount back inside. Then I've got a long drive, I'm guessing a solid 1-1/2 hours, so it's going to be a crap shoot.

WOO HOO! Looks like I'm going to be following in Nils footsteps again this weekend!

Hey... he needs someone to carry his eels! ;)

Anyone else going to be around Weekapaug tomorrow night???

Rob

Don M 05-29-2003 10:20 AM

Nils/Rob,

on the other hand

some of the s-b people can't come and buy anything at the yard sale either... as they will be (for the most part) in conneticut. i for one would be curious to see what you do have for sale. i would hate to find out the exact thing i happened to want was sold because i was out fishin instead of attending the yard sale. speaking of hate...
if i hate to do something i generally farm it out to someone else and pay for the labor rather than> do it->myself...

also... too bad you can't cover everything in plastic for just one night ->as in one huge piece. and now i'll shut up...
always feels good to lighten your load though...possessions become an albatross around your neck weighing you down heavy.
oops shhh raven shhhhh:smash: :D
