thanks Bud , we,ll need it ><><>
I,m gonna drill a ton of holes in the floor .. so all the blood & gas & other crap will just drip out :devil2: |
ok a little hijack here ...Clammer like the "new" truck (new are too much $$, and loose their value too fast unless youre on the buying end that is)...did you trade-in or sell the old? If not whats the issue with the old one and would you want to sell as is to someone for a "project? :)

JENN Trade in $2500
had 160 K needed a left ball joint , frame was rotted right thru , windsheild had a large crack , exhaust system needed to be replaced , both pistons gone again on the rear hatch ..........might have been dirty beyond repair & who knows what else .................. The manager @ the dealer said it was a shame ...... Because the body only had one small dent / the rear bumper needed to be replaced & some work to the tailgate . But he said last year of that model 2004 / SR5 .Limited w/ the off Road package but its going to auction & watch for it on TV . because they all are being bought & shipped overseas to the Arab countries // Wars You going to make it fishing this year ?????:eyes: |
My grandfather Jerry Bombardier. He was awesome and I wish he was still around. I remember when I showed him a pic of a crazy blitz from shore off of Race Pt. about 15 years ago when I was just starting to get back into the game. He told me how lucky I was to see that. He also told me in my lifetime I would be lucky to see something like that again. I haven't seen something like that since (close though). He was right. Memories of filling the boat with Cod will always be with me.

Bummer on the truck. All minor except the frame.in 2008 I had to surrender my 98 taco and it went to the scrap yard. I heard about the frame issues and finally looked underneath one day.... we stripped every saleable accessory off and drove her down to the dealer. Cant complain because I got twice for it what I paid. It had almost 200k but I still miss it. Few years later hubby had to ditch his 4runner because of the frame too but no buyback on those (it was a '99) that too was in flawless condition as far as the body went...motor too. interior may have had some fishing funk :)... If you can find 'em you don't want to pay what people are asking. Love my 2001 Frontier I got to replace it. Put 2k in the engine last year. That hurt but when I looked at new they wanted $35,000k + for the modern day equilvilant and I just cant justify that kind of dough for a "light duty" truck...... anyway sorry for thread hi-jack again! |

I'm blessed to fish with #^^^^&y as much as I do. I want to keep that alive as much as possible. After Paul's passing, I'm planning on fishing with Butch, Gabe, and Todd for some sharkin. I'm also going to bring my 8th grade bully (but high school best friend) Lou Polverini and Matt Johnson. They don't drink or smoke, like Clamma said. Finally, some guys on the site: John Pollack (we've been fishing together plenty in the past). Night fighter Slip Billy Mitz aka the Specialist Dangles TFF again Chris L JR (no drinkin and smoking on my part) TTB Smokey Big Fish and Slingah Shawno and Rappin Mikey Goose, Milo, and Hemdukas Flap, Jenn, and Bruce Bill and Jules If I missed anyone, I'm sorry. I feel like I was present for fishing with a lot of my heroes, just not there 100%. I'd like to give it another shot the way that things are for me and some others now. I'm pretty sure I'd have a lot more fun! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

After years of talking shop with, I'd still like to hit the suds with McKenna.
Piemma, we still need to go gunning for the little tuny. This year definitley. Im lucky enough to fish with some pretty good fisherman that are my age now. Having friends that fish just as hard as you do, and some who fish harder than i ever will keep the obsession going. When the texts come over from the morning you had to work, you cant wait to get out and one up them. |
DZ... just for the stories alone!

Can't beat fishing with Dad. Nothing he liked better than a few days of living like a gypsy on the back. Getting fish was a bonus.
He hates seals as much if not more than me. One time he was snoozing in the back of the Ram at hatches by the sticks. I knew the top of tide would cover the bar by a couple of inches. I'm sitting in a beach chair half asleep and hear him yell. He woke up and from his perspective thought he had drifted out to sea ! Was pretty funny ! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Strikes me that of all the fishermen that have ever lived I am just fine fishing with the ones I fish with now (plus Flap).

Rick I'll bring the Wasabi, lemon and a knife....my mouth is watering thinking about 'em. You make a gourmet PB & J for Clammer as he wont partake in those briny delights on the half shell! |
My Uncle Paul DeChambeau. He was a early rod and reel tuna guy and a world class surf guy. Died way to young. The sea gave him a endless palate to paint his large life.

Just realized I have fished with 8 of the names on this list.

Those are all legends mentioned, but there are so many good bass men over the years, not mentioned. I've fished with John, years back and would have loved to fish with Steve Campo. :kewl:
|
would've loved to fish with campo, woolner, lyman and flap. current guys include prof m, numby, slip and some i'm forgeting. fished a few times with john - he made me go to the darkside once :eek5:.

Bob Pond. If it weren't for him, the bass may have been gone for good decades ago. This is a man that gave back and just didn't take.
