I'm sure it does...had pockets that the wheel shafts sat/layed in that were made of lead, that had to be oiled all the time. it was also a left cutting table..backwards of what they are today...30" wheels an cast iron one pc frame..even though its twisted and sagging,, I'm still going to hang onto it....once I can get to it.

That is beyond terrible.... if there is anything I can just PM me, if I can help I will.... I lost everything once in a fire as a teenager, I know how it feels...

Young Salt 03-02-2007 02:02 PM

best wishes CS

yeah me too Rockfish9 ...the firemen shoveled everything out the windows of the third floor
....i'm lucky to be alive actually...

i had a door knob burn on my right hand for months after i opened the door to the inferno...
i'd be rich now! if i had kept my treasure chest of full baseball cards....and comic books...
i saved everything...

Just thinking about it gives me a knot in my gut. Hang tough, everything that's truly irreplaceable is still breathing.

I totally missed this Capesams. Wow...How are things now in the new shop?

Chum

Scary Deal

I really feel for you Steve. I have a number of out buildings and would be devistated if I had such bad luck. Hang in there.:crying:

Bass Babe 03-28-2007 07:37 AM

Sucky mcsuckalot. I'd offer you tools or rebuilding help, but I think I have a couple pieces of sandpaper and I built a shelf in wood shop in high school this one time... Suffice to say sorry bout your luck.

WOW I have seen fire loss before but that is awful. It looks like the fire dept. couldn't do anything to stop that one. I wish you luck again in the new shop.

Saltheart 03-29-2007 07:39 PM

Incredible. Everything burned to charcoal. I hope things work out eventually.

NEXT2NUN 03-29-2007 08:00 PM

There must have been a lot of things that just can't be replaced in there. I'm lost for words.

Karl F 03-29-2007 08:21 PM

WOW...:eyes:

I can't imagine how heartbreaking this has been for you...

Hope that everything has been going well in the transition.

capesams 03-29-2007 08:58 PM

lots of good times we had in there..sad ones too...many things won't get replaced...some already have been..one more town board hearing and she'll be gone...soon to be replaced with a new shop...guess it'll be another fishless season, but well worth the time it'll take to rebuild it....txs again for the well wishes and good luck.

ShipWrecked 03-29-2007 09:16 PM

I am sorry about your loss. I know what it feels like to lose everything in a fire. When I was a boy we lost our house to a fire just before Christimas. You have to look at this way this things can be replaced but people cant. I almost lost my mother and little brother in that fire but I was grateful I didnt.

NIB 03-30-2007 05:22 AM

Fire is terrible..
Good Luck Rebuilding.

JohnR 03-30-2007 05:47 AM

Good Luck Steve - but still get out fishing a few times at least. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, it does for fishing too....

EricM 03-31-2007 11:53 AM

Holy Moses, that is a complete catastrophe. Very sorry for your loss and best of luck rebuilding and re-equipping.
