You didn't plan to go? 5 more tipups for the Mafioso's. Bring all of your old fireworks also. PM me.

Jackbass 01-11-2011 03:35 PM

I am in with two others. We are bringing a couple of ATVs as well. How is the ice pack at this point? thick enough to support a rhinoceros on a quad?

JackK 01-11-2011 09:37 PM

Team North Shore is gonna clean house!!

Bronko 01-11-2011 09:44 PM

It actually sounds fun...:gh:

i noticed that job lot is having a sale on the white 6 foot folding table
for $40.00 clams which could double as a sled to haul gear out there
.

this has been an "ice fishing" service announcement by the Raven Administration....
and is not, i repeat not blood libel

RickBomba 01-13-2011 06:22 AM

Look at this 10 day...I think that I might be having the tournament from 7-1 if nobody objects if the temps are this cold!!!

if each person brought a log or two
you'd have plenty of wood for a heat source.

I would say go til at least 2, if not 3... Gotta love that afternoon bite... But definitely want to have everyone off by 4 or so, no fun packing up in the dark...

If you want to stay warm... Wait till spring! :biglaugh:

RickBomba 01-13-2011 04:14 PM

OK, 2 PM it is...

Rob Rockcrawler 01-13-2011 06:07 PM

Rick, if its too cold you can make an announcement at noon that its over at 1. If its zero out i dont think there will be much complaining.

tynan19 01-13-2011 06:17 PM

It will be warmest in the afternoon. Tuesday had at least 8 inches of Ice. Plus 3 inched of snow. Add another 16+ inches of snow to that. Better bring snowshoes lol. Hoping for at least a sled and a quad if not 2 sleds.

RickBomba 01-13-2011 06:25 PM

Hoping the wind blew some of the snow off!

tynan19 01-13-2011 06:29 PM

Yeah we have 8 ft to cross to get to the open part of the Lake. I will let you know next week.

RickBomba 01-14-2011 06:34 AM

Yeah, but after three years, I'm starting to collect a lot of ice fishing accoutremants...5 sleds worth of stuff this year. Phil Brown's bringing out his smoker and 20 # of ribs this year, too!

RickBomba 01-14-2011 12:27 PM

We'll be staying the night before. Hopefully Jay and the pirate crew will be closer than last year.:buds:
Anybody else coming in early, and if so, where u stayin?

RickBomba 01-14-2011 09:44 PM

I'm startin to think we might need snowshoes...Hey Raven, Casey or Rob...any chance you guys can give us the lay of the lake?

Oh boy, that motel's gonna be like the Chateau Marmont in 74 when Zeppelin was there!

Rob Rockcrawler 01-15-2011 08:07 PM

I will stop over at the lake tomorrow and see whats up with it. I hoping that it has been used a bunch by snowmobiles/quads to break up the snow. I am more concerned about parking with all the snow drifts. Not sure what the town does in regards to plowing the area.

RickBomba 01-16-2011 10:24 AM

Weather.com has the Saturday forecast at -2 to start, 16 for a high....ouch!

No Bathing suits

RickBomba 01-16-2011 10:47 AM

Yup,
That means Messy Matty will be wearing a jacket for once!

striperman36 01-16-2011 10:48 AM

Mafia's Suit is really good too, we'll have to throw him in

The parking lot is looking good. Doesn't appear that there has been a lot of activity on the lake, at least not in the area where we usually set up. A pretty good crowd was out there today. The snow did not get blown off the lake as far as i could tell.

RickBomba 01-16-2011 02:05 PM

Thankx Rob...see you next week!

tynan19 01-16-2011 06:14 PM

The walking on the lake I was on yesterday was tough. Bring snowshoes if you have them as walking in a sled track is still not easy.

mag minnow 01-16-2011 08:01 PM

Bait availability?

Does anyone know if...

If there's local bait shop that will be open early Saturday near the lake? Answers appreciated...

Freezin rain out there Tuesday night. Maybe a nice crust.

Rob Rockcrawler 01-16-2011 08:04 PM

The Sportsman Cellar on rt 20 about 1/4 mile before you turn right on 148 will be open. If you see a small grocery store called Micknucks you just missed it, pull in there and park and walk back the 100 yards east. The guy who runs it is a cranky bastard but the only game in town.

Really cranky.

mag minnow 01-16-2011 08:09 PM

Thanks...Guy's in the wrong business if he's miserable.
