So I went sat am and rattle a 165lb spike in , so we both went home with venison. I got mine with a 30/06.

TheSpecialist 02-13-2002 09:33 PM

He is getting it mounted. I had to beat him over the head to get him to mount it. THen he ask the taxidermist if it would last hanging in his shed. :smash: He was gonna spend 400 to mount the thing then hang it in his shed.:af: If he does'nt hang it in his house it is coming to mine. It is his first deer and it was a hunt I will never forget.

GBOUTDOORS 02-13-2002 09:34 PM

Goose been luck for 8 years now, some the best hunting land in eastern Mass. I have 7 large fields planted with alfalfa and this summer I am going to put in one large field of corn. Some nights we have counted as many as 32 deer in one field:eek:

Goose 02-13-2002 09:34 PM

Who offers "GOOD" bear hunts NH or Maine?

GBOUTDOORS 02-13-2002 09:36 PM

John they tried black but could not find the bear afterwards:laughs: :laughs: :laughs:

TheSpecialist 02-13-2002 09:36 PM

I hunt my buddy's property in Easton. I am thinking of planting some of that imperial clover, the no plow stuff. I think we need to have a deer hunting get together

TheSpecialist 02-13-2002 09:38 PM

One year while hunting deer in NH I had a bear walk out in front of me cutting across a logging road. Talk about close call.

Goose 02-13-2002 09:41 PM

not good but great hunts in Maine $900.00 for the week all the food you can eat and the smallmouth fishing is out of this world. Nothing to get 100 or more per day:eek: 5lbs

redcrbbr 02-13-2002 09:43 PM

was deer hunting in NH and smelled a bear, needless to say i left the area

redcrbbr 02-13-2002 09:49 PM

gee...i hope i didn't scare everyone away. fixing reefers over the phone. now thats the kind of repairs i like:D

Goose 02-13-2002 09:51 PM

Specialist, they say we need more hunters. This area ( south eastern mass) is gettin to crowded, as soon as you start comin across decent sign, theres tree stands. Its gettin harder and harder.Plus nobody wants you on there land. Its nice when you hunt local, close to home. But sooner or later I'll be going up north to, I got family up in NH. Different type of woods up there.

redcrbbr 02-13-2002 09:51 PM

wow i just realized 3 more posts to 300
