Notaro 10-23-2003 10:10 AM

MrMacy, I am going to fore river to pick up a little of gears, I can't afford to overspend. I will get some tmerinal tackles for rigging up teasers and jigs. And clams if you want me to get them, how many would you need? Just make sure that you have an extra rod for me.

mrmacey 10-23-2003 10:14 AM

dont get clams ill get them

for everone and we can split them does anyone have one extra rod for joe

Notaro 10-23-2003 10:16 AM

 pretty please... And make it catchable:p just joking.

macojoe 10-23-2003 10:16 AM

Thats getting personal isn't!! :laughs:

macojoe 10-23-2003 10:33 AM

Notaro, what do you like to use ?? spinning or conventional ??

Notaro 10-23-2003 11:05 AM

For deepsea jiging for cod, i prefer conventional. besides, i need more practice on conventional.

I have a rod you can have forever. Nothing special but will do the trick.
Next is the reel , It has a penn 85 on it in working shape but needs cleaning, you can have that also. Or if you have a reel you can bring with you?? eaither way this reel needs line. You will need to pick up some and we can spool up at the dock.
Best i can do

mrmacey 10-23-2003 11:48 AM

2 gallons of clams

19 a gallon he only had 2 link you can split one with me or we can split 3 ways

macojoe 10-23-2003 11:50 AM

what ever you decide is fine with me!! I will take whole or part.
Thanks

mrmacey 10-23-2003 11:52 AM

do you thimk we will need more than that

I know some of you guys are going to be jigging

macojoe 10-23-2003 11:54 AM

I am bring jigs but if they are not taking jigs and bait is working I will use that. I would have liked a whole gal but, what will be will be.
I think 1 gal per boat would be nice

Notaro 10-23-2003 01:04 PM

macojoe, whole is good. I want to use a spiderwire stealth braid. 65 lbs braided line is sufficent for me. cleaning? no problem. i can take care of it. thanks,MJ. how many yard on that reel?

macojoe 10-23-2003 01:23 PM

Its a old reel but I just checked it and all works. I put some WD40 on it and it shold be fine. But if you want to keep and use it will need a reel good cleaning and some drag washers.
It has a gear ratio of 2.33 to 1 and holds 200 yards of 40# I belive.
Its all yours for the unbeliveable price of $0.00 If you decide you don't want it throw in the trash!! Your not getting your money back!! and that is final

Notaro 10-23-2003 01:25 PM

i will take it. but the thing is that if i want to put a braided line on it, do i need to bring a big roll?

macojoe 10-23-2003 01:26 PM

300 yards of spider will go on with room to spare. You can take it off over the winter and put a backing if needed
